Excellent visit, roxy was seen promptly and had the tests she needed. All procedures explained, we await results. Veterinary nurse Excellent when holding and reassuring a nervous dog. The receptionist was very friendly and chatted whilst we waited for our appointment time. Would highly recommend.

I have always found GP Vets are about the animal and the human, they understand that they are not only treating the animal but also caring and giving sound advice and support to the human, you are not treated like an oddity because you care deeply about the furry or feathered valued member of your family, I personally would not trust my dogs with any other practice.

Absolute brilliant vets. Always greeted with the biggest smile and warm welcome and my dog is always happy to go in and get lots of love from the reception ladies. Cant fault them, always get me an appointment quickly and always on time for the appointment, helpful vets that go out their way to make sure you know everything you need to before you leave the room. 10/10 service! Thank you to everyone who makes the vets run as smoothly as it does! Not many can say their dogs walk in with a wagging tail and still come out with a wagging tail.

I booked my dachshund in at GP Vets Basingstoke on Saturday at 10 a.m. for his annual vaccination. Upon arriving at the vets, I glanced at my watch while standing at reception, which showed 10:02,as I waited for the receptionist to finish with the person in front of me. I eventually moved forward to the reception desk and was abruptly told by the receptionist that I had missed my appointment because I was nearly 10 minutes late. I stated that I arrived at 10:02 and that the remaining time had been wasted waiting in reception to be acknowledged and booked in. Only after me challenging that time difference did the receptionist proceeded to say that we would still be seen today, but it would be later, and that I would need to wait until I was able to be seen by the vet. The absolute rudeness I received as a customer was completely uncalled for and the interaction I had with the receptionist is the reason I will not use this practice for my veterinary needs, and I would strongly suggest that the receptionists undergo additional training in dealing with customers.

The vets at GP are professional and friendly. My cat had a very bad leg, and I was grateful that she was able to see her usual vet quickly. He examined her, took an x-ray, and understood and treated the problem the same day. She's much better now thanks to GP. Her insurance claim was sorted efficiently too.

Phoned at 8.30 am and got an appointment for 11.15. Staff are very friendly and listened to my concerns first before pushing meds. The vet examined my dog thoroughly and didn't cause him any distress, he also discussed treatment options and prices and listened to concerns. Dr jacek is honestly one of the bets vets out there, managed my boxer and understood how to work around him when he was being stubborn.

I’ve been using GP Vets for the past 20 years. My boy “Scamp” pasted away on the 03/01/23 , their communication, thoughtfulness & care was without doubt extremely caring for both Scamp & myself. GP Vets were alway available for consultation & if need be an emergency appointment the same day. Highly recommend GP Vets . I wish to thank the whole team for the fantastic service & care you gave”Scamp” Per Andersen

Not a reflection on the staff or vets at all, but it seems since the 'Independent Vetcare Ltd' took over this surgery, prices have rocketed. A consultation for my dog was £64 which is outrageous. There are other local surgeries offering similar service for far less. Even a repeat prescription is now £28. I am now sadly looking to move vets.

Dr Jacek is an asset to the practice - he is the first vet we have felt confident with in the local area due to his experience and knowledge of exotics (guinea pigs). It's obvious he deeply cares about animals, chatting away to them and making them comfortable during the visits and always asks for a follow up after treatment. Thank you!

Unfortunately my view of the practice has gone down in recent years. I stuck around out of loyalty even though the vets were becoming extremely costly and service was diminishing. I have struggled to get routine appointments. I was honest about potentially having covid in advance of my appointment and ask what could be done. I was told it would be fine to arrive on the door and they would come out to me. I then arrived to be told I wouldn't be seen and to reschedule my appointment for November. I understand it is the vets discretion to protect themselves but given I booked this appointment in June... and spent fuel getting there. Only to basically be told to like it or lump it even though they admitted fault...it's disgusting. All it does is encourage people to lie about their health. All I would have asked is them to try and rearrange for sooner given the circumstances. I now have two stressed out cats for no reason and taken leave I didn't need to. I am part of the healthy pets club so all the while they have been getting money from me whilst I haven't been able to get an appointment. Since mr Wray has left this practice and customer service has gone downhill. I am usually more than understanding. I called up in advance as I didn't want to put the staff at risk. Instead I got messed around and penalized for being honest.
