I found my elderly Labrador Lucie collapsed at the back door today on returning from shopping. I phoned Phoenix Vets in a bit of a panic and feeling very emotional - but Michelle's calm voice at the other end of the phone enabled me to "hold it together" as an emergency appointment was quickly made for us. When we arrived help was already assembled and on hand to help us into the surgery Rachel the Vet was brilliant with Lucie in dealing with her. Very thorough and understanding in her whole approach to the situation - and in explaining her thought processes concerning treatments for Lucie. I just want to say how grateful I am to all the members of the team that we met today at Phoenix Vets. Thank-you!

I cannot say enough positive things about Phoenix vets, Annie is a wonderful vet who knows our dog is nervous and does everything she can to make her feel comfortable and safe. Michelle is a great receptionist who is always friendly - we wouldnβt take our dogs anywhere else! Thank you so much! Clare, Will, Roxie and Luna x

Thank you so much to all of the team and especially Phoebe. When it was time for my dog Milou to leave us, you were very supportive and understanding. I felt both Milou and I were in very good hands.

Their incompetence killed my rabbit. This has taken me a long time to write as I am still traumatised by the whole experience. I will never go back to this vet. I took my baby boy to the vet for a check as his eyes were red and icky. He was checked and the vet couldnβt find anything so gave me some eye drops to use for a week. She said his teeth were perfect so it has to be an infection. The eye drops didnβt work so I took him back to the vet and got a different woman who checked his teeth and said that they were so overgrown they had punctured his gums. In less than 2 weeks his teeth went from βperfectβ according to the first vet to so overgrown they were in his gums? They then did a procedure to file his teeth down and called me to tell me I shouldβve been more careful as he was in a lot of pain and I had missed it. He was kept in Phoenix vets for the afternoon and then checked post procedure and I was told he was in great condition. Β£450 later his eyes were still really red. After how I was treated after his procedure I decided to go to a different vet and then got him checked up there where I was told that when his teeth had overgrown they had pierced his tear ducts and he would need to be put down. This was decided by 3 different vets on one day. There was one other option but he wouldβve suffered too much and it would never have healed so we didnβt believe it would have been worth it for his quality of life. He apparently had ulcers all in his mouth due to the excessive liquid from the puncture by his teeth and was in agony the entire time heβd been going to Phoenix (another thing they missed). So a week after I payed them Β£450 to fix the problem they originally missed he had to be put down from the same ailment I went to Phoenix about.

What a horrific two years we've had at this vets. So much time and money wasted diagnosing a very serious disease I had told them I thought she had! My new vets have diagnosed and confirmed in one appointment and one test. (Yes, really) Never have I dealt with such an unsympathetic and patronising vet, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Suggest he chooses another profession. Don't make the same mistake I did with your babies! Keep them safe.

Was waiting for the vets to give my cat back after spaying her. I had told them I was in a rush as I was running late to work, the woman was rude and unprofessional, we pay you for your job remember that. Wonβt return here!

I had enough with this practice. This is just a business and nothing more than that! To explain my 1 star: out of max 5 stars I take 2.5 because you have wasted my money and time in half the cases I visited your practice, leaving with a trial and error kind of diagnostic [because if its not this, it might be that] ; then I take one more star for the fact you charged me Β£5 per pill when it can be found on the internet for Β£1.5 in average. Yes I know its not the same, but I already paid for the consult (actually I paid for 3 appointments in 10 days)and initial prescription & drugs, so basically you charged me 3 times more just for the benefit of visiting your practice....

After 7 yrs I have had enough and am pulling my 2 dogs out of this vets practise. One particularly cold, aloof and unempathic male vet, who I asked specifically NOT to ever be seen by again & for this to be put on my notes, well, they booked me in with him yesterday as my wish had not been recorded properly on my notes. I had no choice but to go ahead with the consult. No care shown to me or my dog. No proper investigation for his repeated ear infections. Hidden extra charges creeping in. I am disgusted.

We were referred here for emergency treatment for our cat which our regular vet could not conduct. Unfortunately our beautiful cat was too ill and had to be put to sleep. The kindness, compassion and consideration we were given as a family, despite it being late on a Friday evening, was wonderful. We were allowed to spend time with our pet before and after the procedure and nothing was too much trouble. She, and we as a family, were treated with the greatest respect. The veterinary surgeon, nurse and all of the staff were exceedingly kind. We know which vet we will be using when we manage to find our next feline family member
