   We stayed at the Marcliffe for two nights. Excellent place to stay, but our room had very poor outlook at back of hotel, but the room was very good. Staff very attentive and the breakfasts excellent. The only "weird" thing was the TV remote control, albeit we were out during the day. That was the only (minor) negative. Overall, first class. We walked a lot, leaving our car in the car park and as pensioners, the slope from the road to the hotel is a fair climb!

   We went to The Marcliffe for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday, and it was absolutely delicious. We loved the Christmas decorations, and the staff were really friendly with great customer service. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at The Marcliffe – the food was excellent. I especially liked how they decorated the brownie with ganache on the birthday plate. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

   We were lucky to stay at the Marcliffe as part of the Denis Law Legacy Trust annual dinner weekend. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with a huge smile and a VERY warm welcome. Everything was ready for us (as we were severely delayed and had 15 minutes to turn around and be back out of the hotel!!). Rooms are absolutely gorgeous and just what you would want in a lovely country style hotel. Showers were superb, beds super comfy with great bedding. Only slight challenge were they were a little cold. All the communal areas were stunning and breakfast was outstanding! So much choice and cooked to such a high standard. We had dinner in the hotel one evening (a private dinner) and the food was exceptional and again service was amazing. This hotel is perfectly located to also access the lovely disused railway line walk. Honestly could not recommend this hotel more. Thank you for looking after us....it was a lot!!!

   A Sublime Stay at The Marcliffe – Elegance, Excellence, and Heart From Wednesday 29th October to Sunday 2nd November 2025, I had the privilege of staying at The Marcliffe at Pitfodels in Aberdeen while modelling in the Kelikume Fashion & Styling Show on 31st October. What a truly unforgettable experience. My husband and I stayed in the Eleanor Donan Room, and it was nothing short of perfection—beautifully appointed, quiet, safe, and luxurious. Solid as the Aberdeen rock, it offered a sanctuary of calm and comfort that set the tone for the entire stay. The restaurant was exquisite—every meal was a masterclass in flavour and finesse. Whether it was breakfast, dinner, or a celebratory toast, the quality was consistently top notch. The lounge snacks were equally delightful, perfect for unwinding in a relaxed, elegant setting. But what truly elevates The Marcliffe above all others is the people. Every single member of staff—from the chambermaids to the greeters, room service, reception, waiters, bar staff, and doorpersons—was impeccably trained and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were deeply refreshing and allowed us to fully relax and enjoy every moment. This wasn’t just a hotel stay—it was a celebration of hospitality at its finest. Thank you to the entire team for making our time at The Marcliffe truly outstanding. Top marks all round.

   My stay at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa was a truly 5* hotel experience! Set in a picturesque part of Aberdeen with beautifully landscaped grounds, this luxury Scottish hotel had a unique presentation with a welcoming elegance to it! From the lobby and reception area to the dining room there's a glaring touch of luxury. The room was beautifully presented with a lot of snacks, fruits and chilled drinks. The highlight of my our stay was the sumptuous breakfast - it was out of this world! That special omelette was something else! I'll definitely be back! Oh, and the staff were really warm and welcoming too!

   I stayed at the Marcliffe during a work visit. The room was elegant, the food was delicious and the service was second to none. Keira Melville is an asset to the team; she was on hand to assist with every thing I needed. She gave me a tour of all the meeting rooms. Greeted me in the morning with a warm smile and brief conversation. That level of service doesn’t go unnoticed. 5 star.

   Truly amazing. Gorgeous large room with everything you could wish for. Fresh fruit, cafetiere, fresh milk in the fridge and loads of other complimentary items. Large bed, sink into fluffy pillows and two very comfy armchairs. Brilliant.

   Myself and 3 friends had an overnight spa break earlier this week. The hotel and staff were lovely, the spa experience very relaxing and the food delicious. One of our party was celebrating a big birthday and the hotel left a platter of chocolates to mark the occasion which was a lovely touch. We felt the cost was very good value for money and we can't wait to return for another visit.
