Great place to stay in Kintore. Central location, room lovely and warm, excellent shower and spotlessly clean en-suite facilities. Room made up lovely every day of my 3 night stay so 10/10 for the hard working housekeeping team. Food in bar very good and helpful and friendly staff all very approachable.

Stopped for dinner after travelling from Lonach Highland gathering. Pub was busy as rugby was on the big screens but we had a nice table in a quiet back dining room. Our waitress was fab, really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, started with Ham Hoch and cheese croquettes which were cooked to crispy perfection. We both had steak pie. It was nice to have shortcrust for a change from puff pastry. Creamy Mash&mixed veg accompaniment were also excellent. Unfortunately not a place, i will be able to return to easily. Today was a very special one off day.

First time visit and had lunch with family. Very nice selection of tasty, locally sourced, food and regional beer. Separate dining area from bar, with bar set up for live sports. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for causal lunch or business lunch. Bit of a hidden gem.

No WiFi at time of visit and very thin mattresses making a less than comfortable night of sleep. Loud music coming from the pub below also affect sleep quality so if you want a peaceful night, this isn't the place. Otherwise clean rooms and friendly, if not very well trained, staff. Also worth noting that check in is currently delayed until 4pm though they were a little flexible when we asked.

It's a bit unusual in places, the pink LED's up the stairs for a start. The room was spacious but was crying out for some more hangers. The mattress was not the best and it would be fair to say I didn't get the best nights sleep. Not helped by the howling and yelping from the makeshift outdoor bar area below...

Hotel was very clean and very warm. Staff are very friendly. Unfortunately there was no breakfast. I also tried their cheese and bacon burger and it was delicious. The only "negative" thing (with the burger) was the bottom of the bun had strong balsamic flavor (probably because of some sauce or balsamic). The whole atmosphere was amazing. Price was reasonable.

Good clean accommodation and excellent food ( unfortunately no Breakfast) A pub I have known for years I moved out of Kintore some 20 years ago and used to drink in "Jacks" as it was formally known as. but that's olden days, the New has done a brilliant effort in making it feel homely ( not sure of the bar it was a bit of a shock its moved and higher don't like the fact bar staff stand taller than the patrons) PS staff are brilliant they handled a wee upstart trying to cause trouble professionally and with courtesy.
