   I have used this company before and they were very good. This time the plumber failed to realise why there was no heating on upstairs (I explained that it was zonal heating!). He decided that it was unnecessary to bleed the radiators, which I thought was strange. He offered advice on something I enquired about, maybe he was right, but it contradicted the advice we had received from three other plumbers. Hopefully the basic service was good, but this was not a reassuring visit, it felt more like a mistake laden, over confident young person unwilling to reflect on his answers or explain adequately the reasons for his actions.

   Engineer arrived promptly, was engaging and professional in completing service of boiler and checking heating and water heating operation. I found him to provide good summary of additional work required and next steps. Also, took time to look at couple of unrelated jobs and including these in report as additional requests thus saving me having to request and have a further visit to assess and provide quote.

   I had the old gas blow heating with an old boiler that would never warm the house. I was recommended Lucas plumbing and gave them a call the service was great they replaced the boiler took out the old system along with water tank put radiators throughout the house. They were efficient responsible and delivered a high quality of service. The price I paid I think was value for money and I'm very happy with the service. will certainly be calling them yearly to maintain my heating system. Have to mention George who did an excellent job throughout.

   We had a boiler service and Nest fitted and the service has been great throughout, especially as they were able to fit us in for a second visit when the job couldn't be completed the first time. From the engineers to the office team, we've had a great and friendly experience. Will definitely be using them again!

   ** STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS ** A total scam, not sure why the high score, but these guys are useless.. Boiler breakdown, family with kids, it took them 2 days to come, they charged £90 upfront, quoted more than £200 to replace the electric backup heater and only in 3 days. We couldn’t wait (family with kids), did it for 40£, same day… waited more then 2 weeks for new boiler quotation, we called almost every day asking for the quote as you must initiate the process by accepting their quotation. Eventually we booked someone else, replaced the boiler in 2 days. Still waiting for Lucas Plumbing quotation for new boiler… Called few times to get the £90 back, the `manager` is never there, looks like we will end up suing. Unbelievable.

   I found this company via the internet whilst looking for a reputable company to remove old and replace with new boiler in my house. I’m so pleased i chose to go with Lucas plumbing & heating. From the initial enquiry to the email communication Rebecca on reception was faultless. The guys that completed the job were professional, polite and importantly to me neat and tidy in their work. Fair to say I had a great experience and will be using them for servicing to the new boiler every year so the boiler stays efficient. The 14 year warranty was also a really good deal.

   Phoned to help identify a leak in my upstairs bathroom. They sent someone out 8am next day. Finn arrived VERY promptly and managed to track and trace my issue without causing any damage to flooring etc which I was begrudgingly expecting. He was so polite, friendly and extremely efficient. A real gem.
