I had such a great experience at Kings Jewellers. I brought in a necklace from ASOS and a Pandora charm that wouldn’t fit due to a thicker clasp link. Even though neither item was purchased from them, they kindly fixed it for me free of charge. Such amazing, friendly service — I’ll definitely be returning and recommending them to others.
We first used Kings Goldsmiths in July 2023 when I was in need of engagement ring resizing. Another jeweller had quoted a 3-4 week wait for this but John had it done within a week, to a high quality and was so friendly we knew we would use him again when it came round to our wedding rings. We started discussing our wedding rings with John in December 24 in time for our wedding in September 25. This might seem like a long time but we live in France so we had to co ordinate the timings of dropping the rings off and picking them up while we were back in the UK. John was excellent throughout all of this. He created two custom wedding bands for us, we both had specific requirements (a wedding band to fit against an odd shaped engagement ring and a wedding band made from some meaningful family material) and John just understood what we were looking for instantly. He was extremely accommodating with any changes we wanted to make and just understood our vision from the word go. We have already recommended this team to several people but if you want something done well we can’t recommend Kings Goldsmiths enough.
I can’t speak highly enough of the service we received from John King. He recently replaced the 1.2 carat diamond on my wife’s engagement ring, which had disappeared into the Aegean, and rebuilt the ring to perfection.
My family have been going to King’s Jewellers for decades and so when the time came for me to look at engagement rings, I knew I wanted to see John first! John was able to turn a very primitive idea into something breathtaking and so shortly after popping the question, my fiancée opted to use him again to make my own engagement ring - this time using a diamond from my late grandmothers eternity ring (a piece also made by John many years before!). John went on to make matching wedding bands for us both, as well as commissioning a ‘Tree of Life’ pendant for my wife-to-be as her ‘something new’ for the day. It’s safe to say that King’s Jewellers have played a pretty significant part in our marriage thus far as I’m sure they will continue to do for many years to come. We cannot recommend them enough and have already been thanked immensely by family and friends who we’ve suggested King’s to.
John made this stunning custom engagement ring for us. Both staff members were very patient with us and let us take our time in choosing a design for the ring. John clearly knows his craft and was very helpful in guiding us through the process of picking a custom made ring. He went out of his way and ordered different size and colour stones several times until we found the ones that were right. We are so happy with how the ring turned out and it feels extra special knowing it's a one of a kind ring that was specially made.

I'll give 5 stars for the job and 1 star for their service - average is 3 stars. Like I said, job is done brilliantly, however they have kept the remaining of the gold after resizing the ring. It was quite a few sizes down on a 14 karat, thick antique ''Russian gold' ring. Apparently, that is the rules, which I wasn't told about. And I don't think I should be the one that is supposed to be asking, I needed to be made aware of terms and condition. Shame I couldn't be there to pick my ring, as would have not left it as that. Strongly believe this is against the law to decide to keep something that doesn't belong to you and I also have paid for the job. I'm writing this review after 1.5yrs as don't want anyone to be in my position. My sister in law just resized her ring there and she got the cut out bit back. Maybe the ''rules'' depend on the gold quality or recently changed? Sadly won't be using this local business ever again. Make sure you are aware about the conditions in advance.
