   What a wonderful experience today in the restaurant. We booked traditional Christmas lunch, pudding and coffee for four ladies. The table was set with decorations and crackers. We were shown to the carvery section. Delicious turkey, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, carrots, Cauliflower Cheese, red cabbage, sprouts and gravy. We were offered water at the table too. The waitress and manager were so kind, cheerful and obliging, despite being very busy. What a delightful time we had. Thoroughly recommend. Excellent value for money. The cherry chocolate roulade with cream was divine! Well done. We shall definitely return for our next ladies lunch.

   My wife who is a vegetarian ordered a veggie carvery, apparently they dont do veggie gravy to go with it. Be nice to be told when ordering. And 30 mins after she had eaten and drinks were well finished, my food had not arrived, when we asked why, it had been sent to the wrong table apparently. Still not arrived.

   Visited for the first time a few weeks ago. When we saw the restaurant did a festive afternoon tea, we booked. It was absolutely lovely, all very fresh and tasty. The service was excellent, very helpful and accommodating. . The only down side was where we were seated was very cold, even though the radiators were on. Would have probably been warmer sitting with the other diners. But it didn’t spoil the occasion. The restaurant was so busy, but it looked well organised, the carvery looked good value. The menu prices are good too. It is like a Christmas grotto when you walk in through the door, amazing. The prices are very good, I did notice which I thought was nice, some cheaper decorations, not everyone wants to or can afford the more spectacular ones. So I think there is something for everyone. We have told everyone what a great place it is. Will be back.

   Went specifically for the restaurant carvery for a birthday celebration. Service was great, the staff were incredible and very helpful and polite. The food was hot and very tasty. Big thank you to Hannah, who made sure everyone was ok. Overall a worthy 5 stars given. Will definitely return. Also very good selection of Christmas decorations for sale.

   Great garden centre with everything you will need for your gardening project and an impressive selection of house and garden plants. The centre sells unique giftware, pet accessories, clothes, books, kitchenware, toys and even shoes!! The in-house restaurant is beautifully landscaped with faux foliage creating a serene, green-enclosed dining spot. The aquarium section is impressive too. You can pick up all the equipment you need and choose from a lovely variety of tropical fish. Perfect for both beginners and hobbyists. All in all, perfect for plant shopping, casual browsing, or grabbing a bite. Prices are fair and reasonable too.

   Can't praise Dobbies staff enough ... Had to cancel afternoon tea for group of five at relatively short notice ( health issues with one of group) and Liz and Alison were so empathetic and helpfull. Sorting everything and calling me with updates and refund. At a challenging time, they really went beyond .. Brilliant staff, lovely people and love the stores, bright, well laid out and great, seasonal offers.

   Had a quick look round and grabbed a few bargains that had been reduced after Christmas. Cafe soft play was good value for money and the kids enjoyed it for an hour or so. Very long wait in the queue to be served in the cafe, seemed to be plenty of staff but seemed more interested in cleaning and moving things round on the side than serving customers waiting.

   It's a lovely garden centre. Has many many great quality plants, flowers, shrubs and anything your garden needs. Definitely recommend to visit if you haven't been there. Prices can be on a high side, but you know what you get.
