Friendly staff and quiet pool. 4 pounds for an espresso afterwards pretty steep. Clean bar. Not too busy. Jacuzzi still not switched on sfter Covid despite them being open in other poola. Have some noodles handy for a friend to practice swimming. Free use of towels
This gym used to be good. For last few months, maintenance has become worse. Lockers doesn't work. No hangers in most lockers No soap in the hand wash. Escalated these issue to the staff several times but seems they didn't care.
It was my first time in this particular Gym. The key lock on the lockers needed repairs due to them always being stuck and I found it difficult to open it but eventually managed to open it. At the end of my session the members of staff on reception desk showed no interest in signing me up or never asked me what I thought of the gym. Initially they never bothered to ask me if I have used any other gyms before or gym equipment or ask me any health questions. I would have thought Health and safety is paramount in this type of business. The gym area is very small and the shower area needs a thorough clean. Very poor!!!
The gym is old and grimey, I recently went there for a tour and was astonished by how outdated the equipment, decor and pool was. There was literally mould growing in the showers and also in the swimming pool. Definitely a stretch for around £40 a month. Also there's hardly any equipment, the place is tiny and doesn't seem like it has any air con- I suspect it would get pretty smelly and stuffy when there's a few people there. However I doubt this gym has a lot of members, hardly anyone was there at the peak time of after work, there was 4 people there. I would seriously save your money if you're considering this gym. It's not worth it. It let's it's hotel down.
