Having heard only positive things about this French restaurant, my friends decided to take me there to experience it firsthand - absolutely lovely decor right from the entrance; it makes you feel like you really are stepping into France with the beautiful wallpaper and velvety seats. There’s plenty to choose from on the food and drinks menu. I opted for the Sidecar mocktails (taking advantage of the 2 for £10 offer, which everyone was also ordering), and they were a delight - just the perfect balance of sweetness and sourness. For mains, I chose the Tournedos Rossini, while my companions had the mushroom tagliatelle, ribeye steak, roasted venison loin, and Suprême de Poulet, with a couple of sides to share between us. The fillet steak was nicely cooked and complemented beautifully by the mushroom jus, which I’d totally recommend! We finished the meal with some lovely desserts, and the crème brûlée was just heavenly with a perfectly crispy top. This place is definitely one for good food and friendly service — definitely recommended!

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with a genuinely warm welcome that set the tone for the evening. Pre-dinner drinks accompanied by delicate canapés made for a delightful start as we perused the menu. Seated comfortably in a charming booth, we chose a bottle of Fleurie to complement our meal. The starters — smoked salmon for my husband and French onion soup for myself — were beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in flavour. For our main courses, we selected the lamb and the venison. Both dishes were exceptional, showcasing a depth of flavour and level of refinement that was truly memorable. Although we couldn’t manage dessert, the espresso martini provided the perfect finale — one of the best we’ve ever enjoyed. Isabelle’s offers a dining experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. We look forward to returning and will be recommending it wholeheartedly to friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Myself and two friends visited for their cocktail masterclass and 2-course lunch and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food is out of this world, presented beautifully and tastes delicious. The cocktail making was by far better than others I’d done in the past as you are able to make all the cocktails yourself with the guidance of an excellent bartender (we loved his sense of humour!) The service is also excellent, we were still laughing and drinking 5 hours later! Honestly the best girls afternoon, we will be back for another event soon I’m sure. I should also mention I’ve had dinner here a few times and it’s always been top quality!

A beautiful restaurant in a popular location for an evening out. The staff were incredibly welcoming and the service for the entire experience was faultless. The food is of high quality, excellent in taste, presentation and perfect in texture. Every course was delicious, building upon the last. The restaurant itself is pleasant. The booths are quite cosy and upright but everything else was perfect.

What an exceptional restaurant! We came down from London for the weekend and some dorset foodies recommended we came to Isabel's. My father said it was amongst the best meals he had had in years (and we eat out a lot), and generally from the service, to the drinks, to the food...all was exquiste. I tip my hat to you all and wish you the very best. If you are looking for the best restaurant in bournemouth or poole, you can not go wrong with Isabel's Brasserie. Exceptional all round. Thank you!

Honestly one of the best the meals I have had in years! I would even say it’s better than the old Isabel’s. Can’t recommend this place enough. Food and staff are lovely!

We visited Isabel's Brasserie last Friday 11th November to celebrate my 25th birthday. This was the first time going to the restaurant since reopening in Penn Hill. Isabel’s catered for thirteen of us in total and all the staff were superb, they even asked if they could order taxis for anyone towards the end of the night. The Cheese Soufflé was arguably the best starter I have had in a long time, followed by the Tournedos Rossini for main and the Chocolate Brownie for dessert - all of which were delicious. We will be returning! George Smith

Saturday afternoon lunch,Front of house good. Decor excellent, nice bathrooms with pampering lotions. Good selection on menu including a vegetarian menu. Good wine list. Staff serving poor not trained enough. The serving time on food not right too quick. Extra £3.45pp vegetables poor combination. Extra charge for bread & butter £1.50pp ( not requested thought this was included) Requested bill eventually paid at bar as staff disappeared. Once staff know what they are doing may return not really a recommendation yet.

Absolutely fantastic. Had a three course meal from the a la carte menu, plenty of choice including vegetarian and gluten free options. Used to adore Isabels @ Ashley Cross so had really high expectations, and Isabels Brasserie did not disappoint! Staff all very friendly and accommodating, food absolutely divine, generous portion sizes, delicious drinks (the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is incredible) and a great atmosphere. So pleased that it was everything I would have hoped for it to be, can’t wait to return again in the New Year. Thanks Isabels!!
