We hired a barge for the day for my son’s 17th Birthday and we had an amazing time. We were shown how to safely use the boat and how to steer it. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the best day possible. A massive thank you to Nicky for Daniels presents. He is over the moon with them. We will definitely be back again in the summer!

We hired the boat "Molly May" through Waterways Holidays from Norbury Wharf.. We arrived and we met by friendly approachable staff. The Boat was ready to go and was spotless.. We loaded up and Phil showed us all we needed to know, he was very thorough and left us full of confidence for the week ahead. On return we were helped into the boat yard and had to admit to a lost windlass and 2 broken glasses!! The staff were very good about it and didn't charge us and even offered 5% off our next to holiday with them! The cafe and chandlery were also excellent.. Many thanks for a great wk of off grid solitude!!

Norbury Junction Marina on the Shropshire Union canal. Lovely place to walk along the canal to Gnosall. Great cafe and shop. Pub beside canal with good beer garden.

Great day. Good Helmanship training, boat was easy to understand and control. The boat was clean and very useable. We ordered bacon butties at the café, we ate them and then set off going south. Stopping, sorry mooring at a local field with sheep in it. The ducks had a good feed as well. Will definitely return, and maybe go North next time.

Canal Festival held here during May Bank Holiday. Plenty of stalls and boats selling a mixture of goods. Wood carving, jewelery, coffee, donuts, excellent cheese and chutney was available to purchase. Many canal barges in attendance with the cafe and pub filled with visitors. Could have done with some litter bins adjacent to distant food/drink stalls and boats.
