Lockey Farm is an absolute gem and a true lifesaver for families looking for a wonderful day out. In today's climate, finding such a fantastic place that is completely free to enter is almost unheard of, and we are so grateful for it. While entry is free, there is a small donation booth should you wish to contribute, which is a lovely touch. There is so much here to keep the little ones entertained for hours. Our children loved the huge sandpit, the brilliant play area with a zip wire and climbing frame,, the little ride on tractors and inflatable bouncers. It was also wonderful to see all the happy animals, including the friendly goats, pigs, donkeys, and geese. The fact that all of this is available at no cost is just incredible, especially when many families might not be able to afford expensive entry fees elsewhere. You can easily make a full day of it by bringing your own picnic, or you can use the lovely on site cafe which serves a fantastic full English breakfast and delicious looking pizzas fresh from a stonefire oven. You simply can't give this place anything less than five stars. It's a huge recommendation for anyone wanting a fun, affordable, and wholesome family day out. We will definitely be back!

A lovely outdoor space. Plenty of free parking, sandpit area, bouncy area for older and younger children, tractor trial, zip wire, assault course and a few animals. You can buy animal feed for the donkeys, chickens, pigs, sheep and goats. Very clean outdoor areas. It’s all free except the animal feed and food which is too expensive- an ice lolly for £2.50…. I visited today - a Monday, not much on the menu,only three ice lolly’s left and that’s it. The indoor eatery requires updating, The chairs have torn seat cushions, and some of the area around is torn, but it’s free, and there’s always wear and tear. Also, they sell fresh meat produce - farm owned. I didn’t find the staff friendly at all. Chef was very moody, the cashier man didn’t have any customer skills - no hello or thanks, and the lady at the meat counter was harsh when speaking. I’d go back, but I wouldn’t buy or eat there. There is a donation area, for contributions also, to show your appreciation for using the space.

If you want concrete stands and flashy facilties this is not for you. However, if you want peace and quiet, plenty of space and basic clean toilets this is perfect. Owner was charming and a lovely shop/small cafe. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area with our campervan.

Annual lambing weekends are brilliantly organised without being over supervised. It's up to you how much you want to do and for now long around the lambing areas. And if you ever have had enough of cuddling young lambs and watching the new borns, then there's the farm play area and cafe ... and the tempting farm shop. A wonderful family time.

Nice day out with kids. Happy to feed lamb and donkey which are quite tamb and look like being well taken care of as general condition quite good, looks quite 'clean'. Kids touch them mildly and giggles. Also see some livestock. Playground with plenty facilities. Bought coffee in cafe which is soso. Not try food there so no comments. Toilet is not great but acceptable at least dry floor and not smelly. Jumping pillow are great fun but mind easy twist ankle if go too far.

Beautiful farm shop with authentic farming experience, live farm animals and lots of space for kids to play. I am sure it's a lovely experience for kids and families. Lovely staff with happy faces really enjoyed the visit and their food. Compare to lots of other farm shops I've been to, their food and pricing are fair and fresh. Highly recommended to anyone.

Great farm shop on the 'rustic' end of the spectrum. Decent sized car park which may suffer from puddles after rain. Well equipped shop with butchers, grocers, cheese area as well as alcohol section. There is also a cafe but we didn't visit. Worth a visit if you live in the locality.
