   Incredible prices and service, brought 2 pairs of baggy jeans to have them trimmed and the gentlemen working there were professional and helped me measure how much would need to be trimmed, very reasonable and fair price for both pairs and they were able to have it done within days. The gentleman that gave me back the jeans was very polite and friendly even though I lost the receipt for the jeans. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for custom tailoring!

   I went to get my work trousers waistline redone as well as a zipper on a cardigan. They were super attentive, friendly, and such a quick service, even asking when I’d need them picked up as I was worried due to the short time frame I needed the trousers for! Looking at the trousers you wouldn’t even tell they have been altered, they look completely untouched and they fit like a glove!!! The price is great also, I’m so glad there are services like this in Reading

   I asked to have the inside-leg seam re-done as they had rubbed so much it had thinned and the lady that works the shop did a phenomenal job! Very happy with the result. Sometimes it’s better to repair than replace ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

   This is my third and last time ever at this business. 1st service was good. 2nd service had so much mistake done and I could understand and give another chance, but the third time has just gone over the limit.. sent over a brand new work trousers to be shortened in length. This Professional service happened to cut one side of the trouser length way shorter than the other. I complained about it but he insisted it was the manufacturer fault that there is a clear difference in the length of a trouser he had just altered. The main reason I am leaving this review of a 0stars.. is to put to writing a statement made by the tailor.. in his words (I do not use my tape measure to check the length of a trouser I am about to alter, I just mark it on one side and cut it same. Because I have over 50 trousers to amend daily) I then asked is this the sort of service he is convincing his customers to pay for. In his words again (I don’t care how a customer feels good or bad. The service is done and if you want more services done you will have to pay more money, customers come and customers go) So basically I was just stirred and told him I’m writing this down for people to know what sort of service they will be paying before behind the all smiles on first meet.

   Best tailor in Reading. Been looking for a good tailor without good prices and good service in Reading for a while. Have tried a few and never been impressed till I stumbled on GK tailor. Absolutely love their service, I have been going through my closet and have repaired and renewed a lot of clothes that need some love and otherwise would have ended up giving away. I am soo happy to have found them.

   I brought in a pair of thin cotton trousers with a long tear down one leg and it was repaired neatly in 2 hours with stitching to match the colour of the sun-fade. Very pleased, would recommend!

   Needed two pair of trousers and a pair of jeans taken up (it’s hard being short & fat), dropped them off at nearly 4pm. Went for a late lunch and picked them up at just after 5pm. Fantastic job, highly professional. But more than that, this place reminded me of the family run places from years ago, where you got the impression that the people running it really cared about what they did. I have a few more jobs need doing and I am defiantly coming back here. PS – prices are great too.

   I recently decided to get a kilt and found a used one in my family tartan for a good price, hoping that, although it was a tad big, it might fit. No such luck. I need to wear it for an occasion in France in late July. Never expecting to find someone who would know what to do outside of Scotland, I grimly started ringing local tailors. After half a dozen blanks I came upon GK Tailoring Alterations and its charming proprietor, who, oh great joy, told me he me could do it by the following Tuesday. When I got it into him on Saturday afternoon, he understood precisely what he had to do. I collected it today and it fits perfectly. The workmanship in the alteration is outstanding and the price was astonishingly reasonable. Ladies and gents, if you have a kilt to be altered, or any other alteration that needs the attention of a real professional, come to this establishment. You won’t regret it.

   GK Tailoring is by far the best tailors in the Reading area. Very high quality for a very reasonable price, and an incredibly professional and quick service - they altered my dress perfectly and texted me to let me know it was ready just a few hours after I dropped it off. After a number of bad experiences with other tailors in the local area, I am delighted with GK and will be returning.
