Used to be so lovely. Over the last few months, however, there has been a distinct and concerning drop in service. Lots of people kept waiting for far too long in a small area. Staff - usually just one person - running between rooms and rather abrupt. No apologies for waiting times (I once waited over 30 minutes). Pharmacist never seemingly available. I love supporting local services, but I may sadly have to move to another pharmacist. Update 5 months later: Much improved and the staff clearly are working hard. A lot of money has been invested in enhancing the building inside and out too. Will continue to use them. Changed star rating from 2 to 4.
Having recently slated this in an additional review I need to clarify a few points. I met Indy the owner today and had a pond and sometimes heated discussion with him. The upshot was a sincere apology and he showed a true willingness to listen, take accountability for past mistakes and work in the future to ensure everyone has a good experience here. Obviously time will tell but with the measures outlined to me earlier I feel certain that the previous fantastic name of this business will soon be restored. If you want to be spoken to in a condescending manner then head along to Goostrey Pharmacy! The girl I spoke to had zero customer service skills. Zero apology for the fact that my mother in laws prescription for heart medication had not been delivered as promised the day before. When I asked why she was defensive and condescending.
Lovely friendly helpful and they also deliver. It's so nice to find a chemist that makes you feel like they care such lovely staff
I use Goostrey.pharmacy as they always so helpful organising my dogs prescription for human insulin and needles. They always get for me quickly and organise paperwork I need for pet insurance.
Nominating patients without consent is really not acceptable. As a result I ran out of my medication and have suffered horrendous side effects whilst waiting for my surgery to kindly override the prescription. This should NOT be happening, and is a major breach of confidentiality.
Professional friendly and efficient. Everything that is lacking at the main chemist pharmacy in Holmes Chapel. After a very stressful experience there I went to Goostrey and was treated with courtesy and served quickly. However the pharmacist did take time to register my details which meant that when I absentmindedly left one of my packages on the counter he was able to ring me - which he did. Very very impressed!
It’s a small pharmacy, but the staff and service is excellent. Was just driving by and thought, huh a pharmacy, let me see if they can sort my prescription out. Pleasantly surprised. Was expecting moody staff, slow service and an on knife edge atmosphere. Had a good chat with the staff, a banter and as important they had stock of the medicines I needed. I think they defiantly need more space. Would definitely recommend. Now guess what will happen, someone will go in and the complete opposite of my review will happen. I guess no ones perfect. My motto is always give a second or third or maybe a fourth chance. :)
