   If you’re dreaming of taking to the skies and happen to be in northeast Scotland, Alexander Air is the place to start. Based at Aberdeen Airport, this flight school gives you the rare experience of flying in and out of controlled airspace, which means you’ll get valuable interaction with Air ATC. It’s not always smooth sailing when operating out of a busy airport, but that exposure is an incredible advantage for anyone serious about aviation. As for Alex himself, he’s the real deal. Yes, he’s a strict instructor, and at first, that might feel a little intimidating. But trust me, there’s no better pilot to learn from. Alex has a way of making you feel completely safe while pushing you to become the best pilot you can be. He’s all about precision, discipline, and developing skills that stick with you for life. I was lucky enough to be part of the Alexander Air “family” for a while before moving to England and finishing my course elsewhere. Even now, though, I can tell you the training I got from Alex stands out. It’s the best feeling when other pilots notice your skills and ask, “Who taught you to fly?” My answer is always the same: “Alex, of course.”
