Clearly overworked and understaffed. I dread having to come here to collect meds for my disabled. Wife. Most times there is a queue to the door and you can expect to wait 45 to 60 minutes watching about 5 people faffing about behind the counter before your meds appear. Chaotic!!
Put prescription in eight days ago still not delivered run out of vital tablets. Don't answer phone.
Came here with a 111 appointment. Other 2 staff were lovely. But this one woman seemed to have an attitude with me from the off and was impossible to talk to Saying loudly with a queue of people behind me “ we can’t just give you medication over the counter” in an abrupt manner when I am literally prescribed it and I was referred by 111. She didn’t seem to understand how 111 worked and fortunately someone who actually knew what they were doing came and sorted me out straight away.
Staff doing their best, all be it slow service.
Complete shambles of a place. The place has no management or system. It is an embarrassing situation for customers and staff.
RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW So I rang the number given in the response to my review. THREE TIMES I RANG, each occasion I got a recorded message saying your in a queue. Then after about two minutes another message announces, “leave a message”!!! REALLY is this the best you can do, unbelievable. ALSO NOTE In addition to the already extremely poor customer service previously mentioned, Rowlands have now decided that they will no longer except emailed emergency prescriptions from the GP’s Surgery’s. So now you will need to get in your car that’s if you have one and pick up your Doctor’s prescription. In my case this is only a six mile round trip. Then having picked up your prescription you’ll need to take it to the nearest chemist, unfortunately for Wem that is Rowlands. More lack of customer care on top of an already dreadful service. So is this a case of pure arrogance on behalf of Rowlands “we own both pharmacies in Wem so tough we’ll treat you as we like, and be thankful that we make millions of pounds a year out of the NHS, giving you your prescriptions” or is it just a case of, wistfully unengaged management who are blind to their shortcomings. Visited Thursday 06.10.22 for some advice following registration at Wem and Prees Medical Practice and also about a 'flu jab. All my questions were answered in a friendly and highly professional way and the injection given there and then, despite the staff being busy. Thanks so much!
Never answer the phone been trying to get through for 3 days now,to see were prescription is for BLIND disabled mobility problem patient, ordered 22nd august none as yet.
Took prescription in to be told haven't got item in stock I could try other pharmacy, only volunteered to order item when asked if they couldn't obtain it. I considered attitude to be not helpful to a disabled customer so decided to obtain from another pharmacy when in Whichurch. I won't be using Wem pharmacy again.
