   Recently attended an event at Eyes Meadow. What a perfect place for a picnic, a walk, throw a ball around, or a concert. The event was Ibiza Classics by Limelight Orchestra and it was truly spectacular. All for the charity Me and Dee, based in Derby. The meadow is the perfect place for this, well served by transport (internal road) as well as well cared for meadow land. This place is a credit to Duffield Parish Council.

   A rare chance for a riverside walk around the circumference of the large playing fields really well kept up. Intermittent glimpses of a kingfisher through the trees next to the river. Significant growth on brambles, etc, this time of year (June) means plenty of the river is out of view, making it a great haven for nature. The nature reserve is definitely a bonus as we were not previously aware of it being there. Around the playing fields is all short mown grass, the trails through the nature area are made up paths partly to encourage visitors to keep off the wild areas I imagine.

   Attended a school football tournament it was fantastic! Only let down was mother nature nice big pitches lush green grass and no dog poo in sight! 5☆ from me.

   We were on tge eyes meadow looking after the Eyes Have it Festival. A lot of care goes into looking after this place. A lovely place for a stroll and a picnic
