   The Kirktown Garden Centre is a pleasant establishment, however the Kirktown restaurant is not to my liking. The food is cold and largely processed the service is slightly below satisfactory and the prices are high. I have had better service elsewhere. Some of the staff appeared somewhat condescending and rude. I felt they judged customers who visit the restaurant. I was surprised by the behaviour of some staff at this restaurant in comparison to the general Garden Centre which is excellent. First and last time I visit this restaurant.

   Was very nice and friendly staff. The meal we had was served lovely and fresh. Lovely place to stop on your travels, nice and relaxing before heading on with your trip.

   Was driving past and wanted to try some food at local village. Ordered special soup and i was told this is only place in Scotland where i can try it. Soup was un usual and very tasty. Sunday roast was good too. Highly recommend..

   Ok well a garden center and store with a restaurant in the back. store is nice for some shopping the restaurant gave me a USA diner vibe. Out the back the attendant Seem lost and not knowledgeable. Ask if we where ready to order we reply yes and then she left the table to grab her tablet. Why ask if you ready to order if you are not ready to take the order. On to the food. The order consisted on the special of the day (Pork Ribs in BBQ jerk sauce., Steak burger and battered chicken. The ribs. Beside the BBQ there meat felt like no flavor to it. The burger taste like Venison. Very low fat meat and a bit dry. The flavor itself was good interesting twist. The chicken was good and cook perfectly not dry at all. However the common theme is that there is no seasoning to the chicken or batter. However very crisp add some salt and is good to go.

   3 of us visited on Monday 19th for lunch. Had to queue for nearly 10 minutes then seated...another 10 minutes before anyone took our order...soup sandwich deal ordered. So disappointed...we waited 45 minutes before it arrived and one had no salad as was ordered..the gluten free bread was awful...not fresh. Had to rush it down as we had appointments. Sorry this has put me off from visiting again!!

   Nice food and friendly service, reasonably priced and a good selection. Was advised we couldn't reserve a table but on arrival, noticed that another group had reserved a table.

   Always a good place to meet up with friends. Charge extra for custard or cream on your pudding bit cheeky. As prices high enough. Allsorts of items in one place garden and shop as well.

   Would have been a lovely meal had the chef not peppered everything to within an inch of its life. Just a passing thought that the punter might want to taste the food rather than have his taste buds burnt out with pepper. Nice location and shop.
