Very reasonably priced Japanese food that isn't pretentious. Service is quality and the ambience in there feels very homely. One of Portsmouth's best restaurants for SURE!
My partner and I came here for our first real date night together, and it was a fantastic evening, with lots of highlights. Firstly, the atmosphere of this place is great. A majority of the seating is booths, and there are curtains to separate you from other customers. This made for a really intimate, cozy setting, and a romantic meal with my partner. The staff here were friendly, and took our order very quickly, which I appreciate. All the food was delicious, and I have ordered food from these guys a few times since! All the sushi is top quality, and super tasty. The sesame broccoli is incredible, and they have a sesame salad with sausage in it, which is way better than it sounds! The tempura prawns were absolutely perfect, and the pork dumplings were some of the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes this area of food, and I will be visiting again.
amazing atmosphere I think it might’ve been the owner her name was Rachel. She came over to me and my friend skye and made us feel so welcome. The food was also amazing very hot and fresh. I enjoyed every bite. I even had to take some away. thank you so much sakura

Very cosy restaurant. Excellent spot if you're not too familiar with Japanese food as the menu is extensive with lots of detail. Food was delicious, the sushi was fresh and the wait wasn't too long. Fantastic meal and great atmosphere.
We booked a table for Sunday lunch & this was a good idea. The food was exceptional, tasty and well presented. The ramen was the best I've had in a long time.
Friendly staff, we managed to get a last minute reservation on the day by the phone an hour before!Quick service. Extremely yummy food everything was so tasty, good portions and good prices!
Good service but not that spacious. Food: SUSHI 10/10 - Love the Sashimi platter. Very tasty and you really taste the freshness of the fish. Dumpling 8/10 - Delicious. Nothing much to say but really love the dumpling as compared to other asian restaurant in UK. Ramen 4/10 - I don't recommend if you're looking for a ramen fix. Soup was not that tasty.
The only reason I’m giving this restaurant 4 stars is because we made a reservation at 9:30, but got our table only by 10. The staff were very accommodating and friendly though, but I feel they should have alerted the people who had already finished dining, paid their bill but were sitting and drinking. Nonetheless the food and the ambience is amazing! Katsu Curry is to die for! Very nice vibrant restaurant in the heart of Portsmouth. I will visit again in the future.
