Really gone down hill after new owners took over. Used to love the delicious fresh salads with mozzarella and pesto, now it's like every other crappy takeaway salad (half an iceberg lettuce and 2 pieces of cucumber and onion). everything used to be like getting restaurant food without the hassle and now it's just bland and like every other. Such a shame! Delivery took almost 2 hours and could tell it had been the last house to be dropped off at with everything been cold.

Pizzas arrived in a slump as they was carried sideways. After ringing, the person on the phone agreed they should be replaced, only for an hour later, when we chased them. To be told the manager has denied the request. We rung to speak to the manager, to get told there is no manager working. Appalling service

Really nice food and generous portions. The staff gave me the wrong order but quickly ran to me and fixed the issue. It took a little while but they were quite busy.

Food would be nice but arrives regularly about an hour and a half late. The most annoying thing is no-one answers the phone ever so there's no way of finding out what's happening to your order

So as a Chef who trained on Italian cuisine I enjoy not having to cook for myself for the food which I love, however this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have personally had from such a highly rated place. To start things out on a positive note, the Calamari rings were by far some of the best in hull and I highly recommend them however that is where the positives end. I always get a carbonara as I personally believe its the staple or Italian food for testing, starting out seeing the addition of Cream on the menu it self lends to the fact the chef isn't fully trained of likes to cut corners however I went in for the dish and it was beyond disappointing, the Pancetta was of low quality (possibly store bought smoked bacon) after the addition of the egg and cheese the dish had been heated further making the Emulsification of the egg, oil and pasta water split which left a massive amount of oil at the bottom of the dish, all round unpleasant, the chips were a soggy mess (but I didn't expect much from takeaway chips) and the flat bread was the only redeeming feature from the dish and even that had blackened edges. The Arancini was far too overcooked as it was made too big for the temp they fried at which led to a super dry unpleasant experience and I suspect this wouldn't have helped as the filling had a terrible quality of Salami inside. The Meat balls was possibly the worst offender from here as they was huge and as a result drastically undercooked and if you like your meat rare inside that's fine but with minced steak it carries harmful bacteria of the surface of the steak prior to mincing then that is incorporated fully into the dish, as a Diabetic I have to avoid such mistakes as I have a weakened immune system. On a whole, I wouldn't come back to this place as for the price the food was of a subpar quality and cooked by someone who is poorly trained as a chef, this would require work before I could ever recommend the place, highly disappointing.

One of the best take aways in Hull for food quality, everytime I've had Poco it's been amazing. The only issue is that they often don't answer the phone and they can take a while to acknowledge you when you go in.
