Beautiful little café - interesting and quaint. Great coffee (flat white and mocha) slightly darker roast than I would usually go for, but very tasty. We chose food from the range of light bites, such and sandwiches, along with sides like chips. The food was fresh and balanced beautifully. The side salads were crisp and dressed with a mild and tasteful mustard dressing, or I saw some mustard seeds anyway - like I said, it was mild. Very tasty food! The atmosphere was relaxed, yet slightly cramped as we were sat by the door. There was a dresser opposite that was empty and I felt the room could have been used better. Regardless of that, the ambient jazz and the buzz of chatter from the other tables gave nothing but chilled and inviting vibes. My only gripe was the crackle painted table tops, but that's definitely a personal hatred. We will be enthusiastically returning to try some of the other foods and drinks - highly recommended.

Popped in for a bite to eat as the restaurant was open late for the Hornsea Christmas lights switch on. So glad they were open. The food was exceptionally good and piping hot. We’ve just moved into the area and will definitely be back to sample some other dishes.

We were three having lunch here on a Sunday in early August. We sat outside. Space on the outside street side patio is limited and the tables are small, so we placed two next to each other. For a small establishment, the menu has a good range, and is modern. We had the jerk chicken, and one meat and one vegetarian Sunday roast. The portions were generous and the food was excellent - vegetables were cooked to perfection (nicely firm). Service was good and friendly. Amazing that such a small establishment can deliver so much! And it is cheap - really good value. I wish I lived in Hornsea to be able to eat there more often.

Found this beautiful little of a gem on a recent visit to Hornsea East Yorkshire ,situated halfway along the main high street. On the menu board outside was a lovely selection of food to cater for most peoples taste,I believe they vary the menu weekly We opted for a ploughman's lunch. My wife and I were served by a pleasant lady ,the food which we ordered was excellent and well worth the money. This lovely little place has outside seating and inside seating. For those who use a wheelchair there is access if you ask. We really enjoyed our experience visiting this place and will certainly be visiting on a regular basis.

Very nice food and atmosphere friendly staff. We will go again. Accessibility incl Car Parking and Loo: Step to outdoor seating area and door, they have a portable ramp, either phone ahead to arrange, or someone would need to go into ask for the ramp yo be set up. I suggest a wireless doorbell near the 1st step? Wider area to the right in the main part of the restaurant for wheelchairs. The toilet is not 'disabled' or an 'accessibility' loo and the passage narrows at one bit, due to the original design of the restaurant. Limited on street parking immediately outside for the row of shops, but Council Pay and Display parking behind shops on the otherside of the road. Free 3 hour parking on Cinema Street further up. On street parking on Newbegin unrestricted after 6 and Sundays. Food: The two iof us, one veggie and one carnivore enjoyed the selection. Vegetarian, one option had parmasan, but I passed that on. There is a 'Specials Board' as well as the main menu. Service: Very friendly. Toilet: Yes.

Whilst we thought it was a little pricey at first, we absolutely enjoyed our food. The tempura calamari my Mum had was fantastic, light and crisp and plenty of it. My gyoza dumplings were perfect and so tasty. My Daughter had the prawn salad cocktail and ate every bit ! Plenty of prawns on it too. Our only issue was it was a little cold in there and the kimchi fries didn't have any kimchi on them. But we will definitely go back as they also do sushi which I cannot wait to try ! The young lady serving us was very pleasant and helpful.

The bay tree kitchen Hornsea rude owner and arrogant. We asked for coffees which were bitter . Scones very small had jam she brought cream which we didn’t ask for as my husband is Diabetic. Very expensive and basic food . Toilet not great either. The owner was also cleaning whilst we were still having our coffee etc using bleach which was really terrible both our eyes stinging and is not the thing to do when you have customers. Would never go there again .
