We came to the Heron for our work Christmas lunch last. Louise and the team were brilliant. So helpful, friendly and Louise really wanted to make sure we had a good time! Wanted to rate the service as the 5 out of 5, but the food was great too. We pop in every now and then for a birthday lunch and always come away happy.
Took my children for food and it was really good! The staff were incredible, especially Toni-Lee, who made my kids laugh and made us feel so welcome. She really made the whole experience great. We’ll definitely be back!
We waited 45 minutes to receive a pizza that was barely cooked to the point it was falling apart in my daughter's hands, and a chicken New Yorker that was burnt on the outside and not cooked in the middle. ( There was no BBQ sauce as requested so it wasn't this colour due to the sauce). The staff completely ignored us while waiting to order the food and walked past us a few times before coming to serve us. ( Just to note we were the only ones at the bar waiting) The staff member who served our food only seemed interesting in dealing with her daughter who also came to our table with her then running up and down the walk way next to us. We use to regularly come to the heron but due to other previous issues we avoided this place as much as we could. It's got so much worse after they seem to have changed most of there staff!!! We now will only be going to the Shambleshurst inn in Southampton who have amazing staff who are friendly and give a brilliant service even when there massively busy. The only reason for our visit today is we wanted to make sure our children had a hot meal before our Disney trip for a few days. We won't ever be coming back to use this restaurant again this was the last time we will ever waste our money in the place!!!!!
Marie served us in the heron tonight for my sons birthday meal. She was brilliant!! She was lovely when joking around with the kids and so helpful when choosing our food etc will definitely come back! Thank you Marie absolutely brilliant
Love this place,new menu just released, love the mix up big plate, you get big portions for the money, good idea to order and pay for your food on green king app if you got it on your phone, cuts down waiting times
Enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner yesterday. Great value for money, we all left full and happy. Yvonne and fine team were welcoming and the service was fantastic. We would definitely come again for Christmas Day.
Great value local pub. Friendly staff, partition door to separate pub from resturant is a really nice touch on match days! Good facilities for kids too with a great value menu for them. Interesting items on the menu that are plentiful and crowd pleasing.
Came here for my Daughters 16th Birthday Party of 20. Food was Amazing. Quick Service by Chef...Marie's customer service was fantastic made sure we was all ok and if we needed anything. Even made Special by singing Happy Birthday and Bringing out her Birthday Cake ❤️
