Been using these guys for the last 17/18 years or so as they’re my regular chippy. Witnessed some great customer service from Grace this evening whilst she was dealing with a couple of disgruntled, impatient and downright rude women who couldn’t seem to understand that for a busy Saturday night on payday weekend they might have to wait a bit for their food as it’s cooked fresh. Really well handled by the team. Also food went down a treat!! Thank you! Best chippy in the area! Also a major selling point is they do veggie battered sausages! In the last 20 years of not eating meat I’ve only ever come across 2 places that do this!

Visitors to Hayling island. Highly rated by everyone we’ve met locally. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed. Chips were not appetising, disappointed. Steak and kidney pie was tasty.

Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever ordered. Ordered for a group of 6 staying at a local camp site. Very small portions, ordered 2 large cod which were packed together and so soggy they were stuck together. Thought 3 large portions of chips would have been enough, but very very small. Scampi absolutely tiny, onion rings small, limp and stuck together. Battered sausage OK. Were given our order but didn't seem enough so checked it in the car and were missing ALL our sides. Very poor quality, small quantity and horrible value. Don't waste your money.

Bitterly Dissapointed I only occasionly visit this chipshop as I have another one closer that I regurlarly use. On this occasion though I was very dissapointed in the product I recieved. After spending over £30 on 2 children's meals, a sausage and chips and a pie with sauce I was absolutly disgusted to discover the amount of food that constituted a children's meal. When placed out on a plate I could count 8 maybe 9 at a push full sized chips to go along with the 4 nuggets. A meal that cost over £5. The children's sausage meal was a little better but not brilliant, and the amount of salt also made the meal inedible. The curry sauce was also stone cold which I easily fixed in the microwave but it's this attention to detail that really let everything down. Staff in fairness were friendly enough when serving so no real complaints there but the food taste wise was very average and the portion size was appauling.

Open on a Sunday, friendly greeting, easy ordering and gluten free available. Offered to wrap fish separately, chips were perfect, a bit crispy and nutty. Crispy batter, tender fish, best I’ve had in a while. These guys are pros!

Visited on a Friday lunchtime as a walk-in. The place was busy (a good sign I think), the staff were engaging and bantering with the customers. Food came within 10 minutes of ordering and was proper tasty, especially the chips! Definitely boosted my morale.

7/1/23 Went to get fish and chips, sausage and fish cakes. Unfortunately the shop appears to be so inundated with uncontrolled online orders and system breakdowns that the walk in wait was over 45 mins. I wish they told us as I would have walked out. Even those that had ordered online and arrived on the set time still waited 20-30 mins longer. It's clear the shop isn't able to cope with online ordering and then everyone is suffering poor service. When we opened the meals it was disappointing everything was luke warm. 20% of the chips were more like crisps The only person not disappointed was the dog with her fish cake... mind you she's not fussy. We won't be back. The shop worked much better when you could just walk in and order. Can't help but think if someone dropped our fresh fish when we walked in, we could have been walking out 20 mins later.

Ordered food for delivery between 6 and 6:30, called at 6:30, they had lost our order!! They said they would make it there and then and it would be half hour! I asked them to hurry as I had children I needed to get fed! At 7:05, still no food!! Called again and they said it was leaving now, 20min later we finally got our food, over an hour late and 5 minutes before my youngest bedtime! We can't afford to eat out often and this was a treat, which didn't turn out well at all!! Oh also no cheese in my cheese burger!!

Refreshingly great fish and chips place - seems to be local owned and it shows. Good sized portions, prices and great quality, and an incredibly nice guy at the front - we’ll be back

By far the best chippy in the area. The chips are always a little crispy which adds to the experience and the batter on the fish is really nice. More than highly recommend this place. I had a small cod and chips with curry sauce which was more than enough for me.
