This is a lovely little spot. The service was absolutely fantastic. We got a little seat outside after lots of walking so we were so thankful for the sit down. We ordered the selection of cured meats, the chicken souvlaki and the battered south coast haddock, along with a lovely bottle of white. The chicken and fish could have done with more seasoning in my opinion but that’s only minor. I would definitely give this place a visit if you are down that neck of the woods!

We had dinner here as a small group without a reservation, so we were glad we were able to get a table. The fish and chips were wonderful, but what really hit the spot for me was the dessert. We had requested to separate the alcoholic ice cream in a different bowl for one of the desserts, as we had someone in our party who couldn't medically take alcohol. And although the waiter first denied our request (which I have to admit was a little strange), after some time he kindly took our request. All in all a great meal!

Good spot for a weekday lunch in a convenient, trendy location close to the harbour. The A Bar has a nice atmosphere inside and a good amount of outdoor seating. It's also dog-friendly and they offer wine tasting events. Prices were reasonable for the area. It wasn’t very busy when we visited, so we were seated quickly and service was relatively fast. The food was good overall β€” my partner really enjoyed the fish and chips, and I had the king prawns, which were excellent. The homecut chips were fantastic. We also tried the mussels in their house sauce. While they were cooked perfectly, the flavour just wasn’t quite to my taste. Drinks were great too β€” I especially liked the sangria.

The food and the atmosphere was great. We had our daughter’s wedding reception there because of this.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve been several times now and it just oozes class and the food is amazing. Highly recommended, classy and great staff. If you don’t go, you’re the one missing out.

We visited Abarbistro for dinner on a Friday night, the place was busy but not overcrowded. We had for starter the Fritto Misto, mains the Catch of the day and the Trout, and 2 dessert. The food is fantastic, well presented, well studied, great quality products, we really enjoyed everything, and do yourself a big favour and save a bit of belly space for the desserts, they are a MUST all washed down by a pint of IPA and an Aperol Spritz. Now, the reason why I'm giving 4 Stars and not 5, is because the name Fritto Misto, should be changed in Tempura. The Fritto Misto is an Italian dish made of Calamari rings, Prawns and White bait, all tossed in the flour and deep fried. This one is more like Tempura, battered and deep fried, including pepper, courgette, ONE prawn, and 2 squid bits. Still, we were extremely satisfied and we will definitely revisit it on our way to Isle of Wight.
