Absolutely awful the food was swimming in oil, no flavour and over priced.
The people there are nice enough. The place looks nice and modern. The most important part though, the food was dreadful and way overpriced. Poor flavour, texture, ingredients and cooking. Even the prawn crackers are awful. The only advantage they have is they are open when no one else is!
Ordered here tonight as our usual fab Chinese Oriental City was closed for a refurb and Mandarin is shut on Mondays. Wish we hadn't bothered. The BBQ Ribs were horrendous. Tough as old boots, hardly any meat on them and pretty tasteless too as was pretty much most of our order. Never will we bother with this Chinese again!
It's a takeaway only restaurant, so the question about the atmosphere is irrelevant. The food is reasonable, not as good as the Mandarin in Emsworth, but more than acceptable. The portions are reasonable and the prices fair. That said, the service is far better. It's always friendly and the wait times are so much better.
Valentines ruined! Eating my VEGETARIAN CHOW MEIN and find chicken in it! Call up and tell them and they say £5 of next order… absolute fuming
My go to Chinese in the area. I have never had a problem with the food here, I always have the same order and they are consistent with the output. Safe to say I will be back again.
Phoned in my order when I got there it was an utter disappointment with the young lad serving. This is my second time using New China first time the same lad accused me of not paying had to show prove via my phone he was incompetent Again messed up order and payment issues this is my last time I will be using them no wonder they do not deliver when orders are missing . Get experience mature staff or you will loose customers
Food was cold, chips were hard, chicken balls weren't cooked properly, as batter was all soggy and chicken chow mein was bland! Rude service when trying to complain and ask for a refund!!
