After geting confirmation of our booking for the Sunday roast. We arrived and I reminded the waitress about my allergy. She came back from the kitchen saying that there was NOTHING off the menu I could eat. I eventually had a plain grilled chicken breast, french fries and that was it. Vegetables, meat, fish, all a no. I was also offered fish or scampi. To arrive at an establishment that had taken my booking and confirmed the allergy, to be told everything for me was off the menu was disappointing to say the least. Friends had driven 2 hours to eat with us, and what shoild have been a pleasant afternoonturned into a nightmare..

I don't like to give negative reviews but thought I would share my experience with others with dietary requiements. This was a poinant day for me & my family as I together with my sons & daughter in law had been to visit my late husband at his resting place on what would have been his birthday. We then decided to go for lunch at Cams Mill to raise a glass. I am gluten free, & when ordering made sure at least twice that I was getting a gf burger meal. When it was eventually delivered, it didn't come separately, but did ask & was assured it was gf. I was just about to tuck in when a member of staff came over & said there had been a communication problem with the kitchen & they would have to redo my meal. This meant that my family had theirs & I was left watching them. By the time mine was eventually ready, everyone else had finished. I asked for mine to be boxed up as I didn't want to eat alone. They did offer free desserts, but we all had things to do. My meal was refunded which was appreciated. This was a different experience from when I last ate here a couple of years ago, when they were scrupulously careful with allergies & cutlery & meals were served separately.

Some waiting. Decided to pop in for a sit down meal with the wife, we didn't book but it was pretty quiet for a Saturday. We were seated in a nice quiet corner by a lovely fire place. We order our drinks which took 10 minutes to get to the table, once we got our drinks we order our mains then we wait what seem like ages (actually 40 mins). The food was superb and well worth the wait sadly the waiting was not over. We then sat for a further 15 minutes with empty plates waiting for the desert menus. It was at this point we caught the attention of Woody who was super attentive and in a tiny pair of minutes had cleared our plates and we were browsing though the deserts, the desserts were prompt and really tasty. Woody had saved this meal for us and was keen and honest. We happily paid the top and would eat here again.

We recently visited Cams Mill in Fareham for a Sunday roast, and it turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The setting itself is lovely, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to unwind on a weekend. For our main, we chose the roast pork belly, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and full of flavour—while the crackling had just the right crunch without being overly hard. The sides were just as impressive: fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Everything complemented the pork beautifully, making it feel like a proper hearty Sunday roast. To drink, we had a Peroni, and it was exactly what you’d hope for—refreshing, crisp, and served ice cold, which paired wonderfully with the richness of the pork. The highlight of the meal, however, came at the end with dessert. We went for the sticky toffee pudding, accompanied by a pot of tea, and it was hands down the best part of the visit. Rich, indulgent, and comforting, it provided the perfect sweet finish. Overall, Cams Mill delivered a fantastic Sunday lunch experience, and we’d happily return.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the pleasure of visiting Cam's Mill in Fareham this past weekend, and I can honestly say it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm and charming atmosphere. The service was exceptional; the staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu is diverse and filled with delicious options. I tried the [insert the dish you ordered], and it was simply divine! The flavors were so fresh and well-balanced. In addition to the wonderful food, the ambiance of the place is perfect for a relaxing dinner or a special celebration. The venue has a unique charm with its cozy decor and stunning views. I will definitely be returning to Cam's Mill to enjoy this fantastic culinary experience once again! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a delightful setting.

I have been going here every so often for the past few years. It isn't what I would call amazing. The food is quite bland and very over priced for what you can get else where for half the price. They have a great selection of beers - but again they are around £1-£2 more per pint than anywhere else in the vicinity. The staff are super friendly and it's always clean and tidy. Especially the toilets. They are dog friendly too which is a massive bonus. I couldn't outright recommend this place. But if you are stuck and need somewhere to eat I would give it a try.

I love these old mills! Beautiful view, quaint English decor including the cutest sail boat and swans. Food fare inventive. Loved it.

On the way back to the holiday flat, we passed by here, it looked nice, and spontaneously held off for dinner. Although there was nothing going on, we were told it was fully booked. But we could sit outside and order ourselves at the counter. When it got uncomfortable outside, we asked again if we could come in. There were still many tables free. We couldn't go into the restaurant, but at least we could sit next to the bar. Even when we left after one and a half hours, only a few tables were occupied...however.... The service was very friendly and the food was good. In addition, the mill has flair.

A great breakfast on a recent Saturday morning. Good quality food and a lovely atmosphere. Open fires in both the bar area and the restaurant. Throughout the barn were Christmas decorations and there is a good view out over the waterfront. Plenty of outdoor seating too and ample parking. Breakfast isn’t that well advertised so worth seeking out. Pleasant staff and tasty food in a lovely location, you can’t ask for much more.
