We had the set buffet, which was an eat as much as you like affair. Service was swift and polite. The food was delivered hot and was tasty with lots of choice. Good value and we will go again
Ordered the Malaysian noodles and roasted pork with black bean sauce. Both of the dishes were really good. Great food combined with quick, polite and courteous service! It was also reasonably priced.
The roast duck in a classic roast duck rice turned out to be pre-made instead of freshly roasted, and it had a strong gamey duck smell—something a Cantonese person just can’t accept! Maybe it’s because there are so few Chinese people in Portsmouth that they don’t bother making it properly, since there’s no real competition. It’s clearly Chinese food aimed at Brits or other foreigners. Fine for fooling outsiders, but Cantonese folks should think twice.
It was a good experience trying this restaurant. It was a weekend trip down to portsmouth i was expecting some good Chinese which didn’t disappoint I have to say. It wasn’t very crowded when we git there. The restaurant seemed cleaned and cared for Staff were responsive, respectful, helpful and nice. Toilets were clean. Food portions were decent. Price was a bit higher than reasonable in my opinion.
The best Chinese food we’ve ever had! BEST IN PORTSMOUTH OR UK! THE PRAWN DUMPLINGS ARE INSANE and everything is so good fresh even when we get takeaways or delivery’s it’s always juicy saucy fresh and warm! Everything we have tried is fantastic we wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! 100/10 thanks Tin tin!
Had a lovely lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Food was fabulous easily the best Chinese in Portsmouth served by the lovely Christine and her father Tony.
Wow this place is great considering it’s terrible interior. Decor looks like something out of a horror film. Portions are small but filling…definitely the best Chinese in Portsmouth. Good prices too!
Ignore the outside decor once you enter prepare to be pleasantly suprised. My wife and I ate there on 19th Feb in the evening. The food was excellent, really hot, freshly prepared and served by very friendly staff. Would definitely visit again when in the area. Dr. L. S. Reeves
Turned up no booking, on a very cold night we were welcomed at the door,And shown to a table. The food we ordered was really good it was hot, rapid , and well prepared, we’ll come back again, Thank you .Fat man Jeff Reading.
Have enjoyed this place a few times in the past .This time we were left waiting for nearly an hour without being asked to place our order, we paid for our drinks and left. We will not use again, very poor service. Poor customer service is not acceptable …especially when the establishment is a bit run down , the staff have permanent grumpy faces and the prices are a bit higher than standard.
