We went to The Seahorse on Friday evening and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and smiles, and it immediately felt like the kind of place you could settle into and relax for the evening. The food was absolutely delicious — my husband started with the soup, which he said was packed with flavour and beautifully presented, followed by the ribs which were tender, juicy, and full of taste. I had the goats cheese parcels, and they were just perfect — crisp on the outside, soft and creamy inside, with a lovely balance of sweetness from the sauce. Every dish felt freshly made and full of care. We also tried a couple of mocktails, and they were honestly some of the best we’ve had anywhere. You could taste the thought and creativity that went into them — full of flavour, colourful, and beautifully presented. It made the evening feel special without even needing alcohol. What really stood out, though, was the service. The young lady who looked after us was an absolute credit to the place — friendly, chatty, and genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our meal. She had a lovely energy and made us feel truly welcome, which makes all the difference. It’s not often we leave somewhere feeling both full and uplifted, but The Seahorse managed to do both. Fantastic food, beautiful mocktails, and wonderful staff — we’ll definitely be back and will be recommending it to friends and family.

First time visiting here. Went there for lunch with a friend. I had the eggs Benedict and it was lovely. My friend had the tater tots with sausage and bacon and the portion was huge!!! The food was lovely and hot. Will definitely be going back again. It has a great menu with lots of fabulous choices.

We had a lovely afternoon tea here! The team couldn’t do more for us and were so friendly. Definitely recommended - the sausage rolls and coronation chicken sandwiches were my particular highlight!

I didn’t even want to give it 1 star. When you get blood running out of the Sunday lunch chicken, the explanation was he’d used a thermometer no apologies. Got another dinner with half of the ingredients not on the plate. All of the stuffing was stone cold. I’ve had beef cooked by a decent chef had it rare but a good vet could of done something with it, knives couldn’t cut through it. How it’s got 5 stars is beyond me. And for this we could have a sweet for nothing which we refused. After arguing they eventually let Us have money off. I don’t recommend this place to anyone!!

I’m sure the food is lovely. Greeted with sarcasm when asked for a table for two. No menus on the table, server did not attend our table for the 20 minutes we were there. No indication on if you ordered at the bar or if someone came over. We only realised it was table service after another table had ordered taken. The reviews for the food look amazing, which is what brought us here.

Amazing find. Limited menu but an excellent selection that means there is a good choice of starters, mains and deserts. Lots of seating inside and out, the outside seating has some under cover and comfortable tables/chairs. Friendly staff and no pressure, you can relax and enjoy the evening. I had the mussels, can highly recommend them as well as the calimari. Definitely on the list for a return visit!
