I booked a table for two people for Saturday 19:30. We arrived promptly as we normally do. The waiter on reception took our order straight away. He gave us our poppadoms after a reasonable wait. The restaurant was extremely busy and noisy all evening with takeaway orders being requested or collected!! Customers jostling around us continuously! We were the only seated customers for the majority of our meal. We were made to feel that we were put to the back of the queue due to the volume of takeaway collections etc. When l asked about our main dishes, we were hurriedly offered further poppadoms as we felt to appease us which we waved away and asked again for our main courses! Mine was tandoori mixed grill which was extremely overcooked and dry and to my mind completely inedible. My fiancé's meal was actually burnt! I spoke with the only member of staff, (front of house) and asked for a refund which was given very reluctantly but it was only £15 which wasn't even a third of our bill. The irony of this disastrous meal was that a lady we were chatting to earlier in the evening advised us NOT to touch this 'restaurant' with a barge pole! An awful, awful 'never to be repeated' experience!

I've tried a few Indian Takeaways, this one always has the best quality Food, cooked perfectly. Delivery may take a little longer that expected sometimes, but it's worth the wait..

Too bad of an experience with the gentlemen on the reception. Doesn’t have an hospitable nature at all. The tables were fully free and still we were told back to not sit and eat in. It’s really very disrespectful to say no to customers especially when the tables are free. The person on the reception really needs to learn some manners to talk politely. I am attaching the picture of the empty tables for reference (which he told was fully reserved). NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal, however, it did take over an hour to come. Being a table of 11 may have played a part in the delay. Like previous reviews had said the tables and chairs were very sticky but overall I would go back again. The meals cost around £9.50-12 depending on curry type and meat/veg choice but rice and naan was sold separately for roughly £2.50-4. There was a slight mix up when it came to payment but it was all sorted and overall I’d probably go back again.

Great new start up restaurant and take away in the centre of the ryde union st food and drink area. Excellent dishes served quickly and very tasty, obviously cooked by someone who knows what they are doing. No alcohol license at the time of visit, but you can bring your own. Give it a try.

I ordered takeaway. The food arrived right on the ETA, still warm and the aroma was amazing. The portion size was large and definitely could feed 2 even though it was an order for one. Biryani, curry sauce and naan tasted amazing. I'll definitely order from here again.

I ate here last night with my missus and kids. And it was fantastic. The food was spot on the best tasting curry I've had in a long time. The service was excellent they did the best to serve me as quick as possible. I was aloud to bring in my own soft drinks and beer, The prices was the cheapest I've had on the island for Indian food. Even tho its so delicious. The restaurant it self is spotless and clean felt pleasant to eat my food there. The staff was kind and tried to be understanding I will always be eating here for a long time. Thankyou spice of India for our lovely visit. Also my kids had a fantastic time eating there.

The surroundings are not posh. As you walk past the smell of the food is heavenly. Go in and the food does not disappoint. We ordered too much but all of it was delicious. Family run restaurant, lovely young brothers front of house. Mother in the back cooking. Well done, that is the best meal eaten out since I came to the island 27 years ago.

Have just had a takeaway and can simply say that it was absolutely delicious. Very helpful staff who accommodated changing one dish to vegan (Vegetable madras - gorgeous). Very generous portions and great value for money. Will definitely visit again when we are back on the Island.
