   Really disappointed, especially because this is our regular takeaway and it’s usually great. We ordered the donner meal deal: two donners (both meant to come with chips) and two drinks. The order arrived with no chips at all, so I rang and was told they’d bring them out. While waiting, we started eating. My chicken and my partner’s donner were cold. I rang again to explain this and was met with a very argumentative response, repeatedly being told “how can it be cold, I’ve just made it?” as if I’d somehow caused it myself. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to answer that. He kept saying he was sorting the chips, but that wasn’t why I was calling. When I asked for a refund due to the cold food and mistakes, I was told “we don’t refund”. After more back and forth, he suddenly said he would refund, a strange change of stance. The whole experience was frustrating. Between the missing chips, cold food, and rude, dismissive attitude on the phone, it really let us down compared to the normally amazing food and service. At this point, I doubt we’ll even get the missing chips or the refund promised.

   I had a really good experience here. The best service I’ve had in Beverley and because of this I would be happy for them to cater at my birthday party. Atmosphere was buzzing when I entered. Definitely would come back and recommend.

   The other day after work, I stopped by Elpolo Takeaway in Beverley and grabbed a chicken burger and chips. The food was lovely — really tasty and cooked just right. You can tell they use good quality ingredients. They’re a bit more pricey than your usual chicken shop, but honestly, it was worth it for the flavour and quality. Definitely going back again!

   Honestly the best chicken I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried many. Chips are cooked to perfection and always guaranteed a great meal from here. Hits the spot every time! Whether you fancy chicken, pizza, gyros and deserts, El Polly has it all and does it better than anywhere else. Highly recommended!

   We went into the takeaway and ordered a chicken wrap, breaded garlic mushrooms and a hot and spicy pizza. All of the food was delicious and came piping hot, but didn’t take too long to cook. To make things better - the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return. Thank you guys!

   A fantastic place that does amazing food. From chicken to loaded fries, pizza and kebabs. This is a great place and the staff are all friendly. Great value for money. The chicken is my go to 3 pieces of boneless and chips, enough to feed a large appetite. Pizzas are all lovely and prepared fresh. If I want to spoil myself I will get the loaded fries, amazing and fantastic value for money. Would I recommend this place, yes and I have.
