    The restaurant was quite empty, and the owner said it is midweek, which is a shame. This was our first meal here and it was beautiful, we both thought it was one of the best we'd eaten for a while. It's also very reasonably priced. Was operating from an old menu, but the owner did say he was bringing out a new one, so we will definitely be back to try it. Friendly owner, great food at a reasonable price.

    I want to write a good review as the staff were great and the food was fine, but unfortunately that was as good as it got. We booked a Saturday night, waited a fair while to have our order taken and food to arrived (fine as the four of us were enjoying a night out). When the food arrived it was nice enough but not the best and also just warm but we were so hungry we ate with gusto. We asked for drinks and Meg was nice enough to serve us as we weren’t made aware the bar and restaurant were separate. We finished our food and a member of the group needed the loo only to find all toilets flooded. She had to hot-foot it to a neighbouring pub to relieve herself. On her return we asked for the bill and were told there was no card machine. We scraped cash together for the bill and tip. We returned to the bar to finish our drinks and found a sewage company was now clearing outside. We were glad we’d eaten and could run as the stench was driving people indoors and even then we wouldn’t want to eat with it. All in all from mediocre to worse ☹️

    Fantastic meal, very tasty and great value, plus a complimentary dessert. Service was efficient and helpful, and the meal presentation had some cool surprises. Highly recommended!

    Not impressed. People seated before you as they knew the person. We had even booked!!! At least this time they were open. Last time we booked and turned up and it was closed and weren't informed. Ordered 'a taste of all your favourite dishes' which was chef favourite dishes!!!!! As they never asked us what we liked. Not impressed with quantity of food and OK if you liked things spicy...went out hungry. Would not recommend. All this was stated to the server when we asked for the bill.
