Visited today and ordered two beef stroganoff, pie and a children’s meal. Both beef stroganoff meat was incredibly tough. Staff member came over and asked if everything was ok although we was yet to try the beef which went uneaten with both meals. We went over to speak to the staff member to ask for the table to be cleared as 3 staff was stood at the till twiddling their hair, upon discussing the toughness of the meat the staff member stated that she had given enough time before asking if everything was ok and that we had eaten the meal (which we had not). This staff member expressed an awful attitude and stated that someone in our party always goes in and complains, which is incorrect, the reason we ordered stroganoff was because that member of our party had it on her last visit and said how good it was. We informed the staff member that someone in our party knew Debra the owner personally and would surely not like how she was speaking to paying customers, staff member stated that Debra is her Grandma and laughed which was shocking. Shocking customer service and staff attitude which is such a shame when trying to support local independent businesses. The only reason complains are made is because paying customers are dissatisfied. Our bill was £67 which is more than fair enough if the food and customer service is good, which is wasn’t. I’ve never witnessed such rudeness from a service. To add- posted this on their Facebook page as feedback and they blocked me!!

We visited today as a family. The kids chicken meal was good and my daughter enjoyed it, but the tapas sharing platter was really disappointing - it felt like something we could have cooked better at home. For the price, it just didn’t feel worth it. Also, having to pay before the food arrives makes it awkward to give feedback in the moment. Probably won’t be going back for a while.

Very nice food. Quite long waiting time considering we didn’t order anything too exciting but it was fairly busy. Chairs very uncomfortable but atmosphere was nice and food was great! Staff really polite and present but without hovering around which we really appreciated. Definitely will be back, trying to get a booth this time.

Really lovely food with big portion sizes. Visited on a mid week evening with 2 friends and we all enjoyed our meals and food choices. The restaurant was full @ 6.30pm..an equal mix of families, couples and friend groups - so the noise levels were a bit high at first, but that receded after about an hour as some family tables departed. A licenced bar which has well priced drinks and we also had free water with our meals. Counter service so easy to self serve when ready to order. Food came reasonably quickly and was hot. Will visit again but maybe choose a later time into the evening for a more romantic and quieter atmosphere if with my partner.

Lovely cafe. Went for my daughter's Birthday breakfast. 3 of us had the Village Breakfast. Slight alterations were no problem. Another table had the Afternoon Tea, which also looked really good. Would definitely go back.

Went out for sunday afternoon tea for a friends baby shower. The food was lovely and we were given boxes to bring home what we couldn't eat. Staff were very helpful and accommodating considering we were a large party of 18 people. Well deserved 5 stars all round.
