   A charming spot on Hedon High Street, this café had a lot to offer. We arrived just as it opened and were quickly greeted. Our breakfast sandwiches and coffees were served promptly, and the prices were reasonable—great for a casual morning out. However, the service didn’t quite match the promising start. After finishing our food and drinks, no one checked in to ask how everything was or offer additional beverages. We waited around 35 to 45 minutes before deciding to settle up and leave, ultimately getting another coffee down the road. Additionally, a small detail detracted from the experience: the plant feature on our table was visibly dusty, covered in salt and pepper residue that seemed to have built up over time. We moved it aside to enjoy our space a little more. With just a bit more attention to ongoing service and table upkeep, this lovely café could easily make a lasting positive impression.

   Great little place however my disappointment is they don't provide non dairy milk. There are many vegans out there and people with allergies or in tolerences. Even long life versions of either almond, or oat, or soya milk etc would be great. Any non dairy. Even at an extra cost. It's rare these days that an establishment does not provide this.

   The best traditional home cooking I've tasted in years... using good quality ingredients cooked in an old fashioned method. No preservatives! No shortcuts . This food wouldn't be amiss on a Michelin menu. Well done ladies . Ps reserve a table. This place isnt a secret. I had homemade plate steak pie in a beautiful pastry crammed with big chunks of steak and extra gravy in a boat as standard. Then the best lemon and raspberry cake which was fluffy and moist and huge ! .I returned for breakfast again just fab .. thanks I will return when I'm back in the area

   Staff are lovely, very classic older style little cafe. The prices are slightly higher than I would expect to pay in this more dated type cafe with basic items but they were accommodating to changes and attentive. Coffee was lovely, can't fault it, and the cakes are definitely homemade and look delicious, will try next time.

   Beautiful home-cooked very high quality food, From teacakes and scones through to full meals, served in old-fashioned tea-room surroundings ie in their garden seating area. Truly wonderful cakes and the best Sunday lunch around. And the staff are lovely too!
