Today we had works Christmas party and the food for each one of us was so amazing. Very authentic place, beautiful decorations and food worth the value. If you feel like you want to go somewhere and get nice vibes, receive polite service, tasty food- this is a place to go. Had 2 small plates and was full to the barrel.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to chew the upholstery of a 1987 Ford Escort, allow me to recommend the chicken here. Tough? Mate, this bird died twice once on the farm and once again in my mouth as I desperately tried to gnaw through it like a Labrador working its way through a welly boot. The chips… dear Lord, the chips. “Greasy triple cooked”, which I can only assume means they dropped them, panicked, kicked them across the kitchen, then served whatever crumbs survived the journey. I’ve seen more substantial substance in a crematorium dustpan and trust me, I’d know. Flavour? Non-existent. Texture? Think gravel sprinkled over disappointment. Presentation? Imagine somebody angrily tipping the bottom of a McCain’s bag onto a plate while muttering “that’ll do” under their breath. To call it a meal would be a dubious proposition at best. To charge money for it? Full-blown daylight robbery with added cheek. Avoid this place unless you enjoy culinary punishment or have a dentist who’s desperate for business. Never again dreading tomorrow morning!!

I had dinner at Sicilian Mancia last night, and unfortunately the experience was quite disappointing—especially because they claim to serve al dente pasta. Al dente pasta should have a slight firmness in the centre, hold its shape, avoid becoming soft or sticky, and mix beautifully with the sauce. It’s preferred for its pleasant texture, lower glycaemic index, and the fact that it doesn’t go soggy. However, the pasta served to us was the complete opposite of al dente. It was mushy, soggy, soft, and sticky, which really affected the overall dish. This was surprising and quite frustrating given how strongly they advertise authentic Sicilian cooking. When I politely informed the staff, the response was even more disappointing. The waiter was dismissive, defensive, and showed no willingness to listen or improve. Instead, she claimed the pasta was “Sicilian” and that it was supposed to be like that—implying that customers simply don’t understand Italian food. This attitude reflected very poorly on the restaurant, and it left a bad impression on us. The price point is also quite high—especially £10 for a single bruschetta—so you expect both good food and good service. To be fair, the sauce itself was flavourful and well-made, which shows the kitchen has potential. Had the pasta been cooked properly, my review could have been much more positive. But between the badly cooked pasta and the unprofessional service, we left disappointed. A restaurant that prides itself on authenticity should know what true al dente pasta is—and treat its customers with respect when feedback is given.

Amazing food!! Can’t recommend enough. Tasted really organic, pasta is homemade and it’s just great. I had the Sugo de casa and it was fantastic! Staff were also really friendly and the lady we had was so kind! We went at a quiet and they were so great and looked after us so nicely!

Absolutely incredible authentic Sicilian food. Amazing value for money and the mixed grill did 2 of us! The owner’s lovely mother came and spoke to us about the history of the restaurant and we felt so welcomed and at home. The inside decor was beautiful and the lovely waitress who saw to us was amazing too. Could not ask for a better overall experience! Thank you.

Very good experience, all the food we ordered was so nice and arrived promptly. We didn't get to try any specials but the food from the main menu was incredible. The restaurant itself is also decorated really well and in a great location.

Yummy Sicilian menu with unique items I haven't seen in other italian restaurants in the UK. Good portion sizes. Open kitchen is great and I enjoyed watching the chef work! The host was very friendly too and chatted with us in Italian. Bonus: the seats by the wall are heated. Very cozy. Bring your own booze!!!
