   Cocktails - amazing Food - fabulous (as always) Service - SPECTACULAR. Good service makes a restaurant and Nathan was just the most amazing server. He made sure our dairy intolerant member was well catered for, double checking with the kitchen to make sure the dishes would be suitable for her. He was cheerful, and very clearly enjoyed his job. He made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to Nathan for your amazing service and personality and for looking after us for our girly Christmas meal! Happy Christmas to all Ambiente staff!

   I prebooked for the special Fiesta menu for 11 people on a Wednesday evening at 6pm. Although we had to choose the dishes in advance (understandable to avoid 11 people ordering individual tapas), the communication was very good and the process worked well, including the pre-ordering of drinks at a reduced rate. Although there was a warning that 'no-shows' would be penalised with a £10 per head surcharge, we did not get charged for the one person who could not come, despite only giving 24 hours notice. This was much appreciated, although it may have been different if more people had cancelled, or they were only informed on the night. There was a vegetarian in our party and Ambiente were very accommodating, providing an extra portion of veggie paella and extra tapas dishes, including an excellent plant based 'meatball'. They were very impressed and not made to feel like second class citizens. The food was excellent from beginning to end, starting with the meat platter (separate veggie platter), through the chicken and chorizo paella (separate veggie paella), tapas and dessert course. The dessert 'tapas' were wonderful, with a great choice of tasty sweets. The only way that it could have been improved would have been to have a mini cheese selection or fresh fruit, for those with less of a sweet tooth, but I consider that to be a suggestion for improvement rather than a criticism. The service from Morgan / Morten and his team was exemplary from the moment that we arrived to when we left, making this a great evening. I have previously only been here as a couple or a small group, but I thoroughly recommend Ambiente for a Christmas night out.

   It was a decent enough place but the service and clientele let it down. The food was good mostly. We had two young kids with us and some other guests seemed put out by this, even putting their heads in their hands. And the kids were being good! The staff also weren’t very attentive.

   Awkward atmosphere as staff were taking pictures of each other I am guessing for online advert. The place was not giving spanish vives but otherwise It looked modern and well decorated. Fast service and very polite staff. Food wise...not good. As a spanish customer I did not see authentic spanish food. The croquetas had mashed potato and cheese in them, not bechamel , which overpowered the flavour of the ham so we could not taste it at all, the calamary were battered like english fish and chips and lacked flavour, not salted at all either. And we also had the shared plater where they put a mix of veg on top of the bread that overpowered the flavour of the toppings. The olives were good tho. The idea of spanish food was good but the taste was a disappointment. And we left hungry as the taste of them dishes was not worth spending any more money. A shared appetizer platter, the 2 tapas dishes and 2 soft drinks cost us 35 pounds, we wont be coming back but thanks for the fast and good service.

   Slow service and a bit pricey. Food mostly good. The idea of the tapas it says to order little and often but the amount of time taken to deliver dishes was extremely slow so it kind of ruins the experience, plus the waiting staff didn’t often come back to check/ask. It wasn’t particularly busy. Rubbed me up the wrong way when they automatically applied a 10% service charge to the bill. The service wasn’t that great and the food is already on the pricey side. I guess it can be removed but it’s awkward to ask. Other reviews mentioned the same issue but it was absolutely not communicated and the first time we knew about the charge was when we were brought the bill to pay. It’s just a bit sneaky. The food for the most part was nice and well presented.

   Incredible tapas in Hull. My partner and I had a celebratory graduation dinner at Ambiente this week, which was heavenly. As soon as we walked in, we were met by the friendliest staff, who made us feel welcome. We were seated immediately in a lovely little booth at the back of the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly, polite and attentive. And the food was splendid. I’d highly recommend the mussels and the potatoes and chorizo. The meatballs are great too. We finished off our evening with some sticky toffee pudding. This space is a real treat in Hull.

   Wow! The food in here was absolutely brilliant! Superb flavours and really fair prices! We had 8 of the tapas dishes and all were delish! Staff were friendly and helpful, vibe in the place was great and it's a beautiful place.

   Hull's best tapas! Came here for a late booking and was impressed from start to finish by both the staff and the quality of food. The staff are very welcoming, the menu is exciting and each item comes out fresh as its ready which adds to the enjoyable experience. The basque cheesecake was beyond delicious and I can't wait to return to try it again.

   We loved this place! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. There is great choice of meat/fish and veggie tapas. The sherry flight was an interesting twist and one that the staff were very knowledgeable about and were able to guide our selection of.
