   I came with my partner on Saturday night, we could not fault it one bit 10/10. This is the first time we have eaten here, we will definitely be back! I had the oriental seabass and my partner had a steak, safe to say we had clean plates. We finished our evening with the 2 for £14 cocktails the amount to choose from was amazing, definitely something for everyone. Staff was extremely attentive aswell. We 100% recommend!

   Visited Saturday around 11.30. The young guy serving was called Danny and he was so polite, attentive and friendly. He explained food wasnt serving until 12 but took our drinks orders and came back to take our food order just before 12 so we weren't waiting. It was so refreshing to see this young guy be so attentive friendly and polite in a customer services environment. The food was lovely and well priced with a good selection of lunch options. Really nice visit. Would recommend.

   Having moved to the area recently and on a friends recommendation we booked a table . Unfortunately we were really disappointed, cannot fault the service but the food was pretty poor. My tapas choice were all frozen foods, nothing fresh and the calamari looked like the type from Farm Foods. My partner had a steak which was more fat than meat, a very poor cut. After having a starter and a bottle of wine an £80 bill was a hard pill to swallow. I was really looking forward to our visit as I've passed by lots of times and thought how nice it looks inside, but unfortunately the food was a massive let down. Sorry guys.

   Had a perfect baby shower. Food was fab and plentiful. Mocktails tasted and looked great. Staff went above and beyond and the company great. Perfect place for a party. No complaints. Would recommend. Thankyou

   Great atmosphere and music. Lovely friendly staff let down by very DISAPPOINTING FOOD. Fried items were dark brown and taste was tainted, I suffered indigestion afterwards. Overuse of smoked paprika or similar in risotto and pasta dishes left a strong unpleasant aftertaste. Sorry guys, we will never visit again.

   Moving to the area in February last year, we wasn't sure where we could take our young daughter, we took a chance with Cassiel. We was welcomed into the establishment with a warm greeting and our daughter got her own greeting, which was great as many establishments tend to blank her and only greet my self and my wife. We was asked if we would be dinning with them which we said yes and was politely shown to a table which had room for our pram, the waitress then asked if we would like a high chair , again we said yes and within seconds we had a high chair. The waitress then said she would let us settle an then be back over to take our orders. After browsing the menu we was ready to order , and as soon as we closed the menus the waitress came over and took our order. A short moment later we had our drinks and cutlery even some child cutlery for our daughter, around 20 minutes later our food was brought out , each plate was filled, amazing value for money. We both had a chicken burger and beef burger , and our daughter had a child's chicken nuggets and salad (chips was a option but we requested salad and the chef was more then happy to swap them out) Both burgers was extremely big and very tasty , there wasn't a bite we didn't enjoy. Especially with the home cooked chunky chips. After our meals we got talking to the manager and one of the owners, and was informed that the owners are local to Cottingham and have grown up in the village as there family have been in the industry for decades. It was nice to hear that successful people have stuck to there roots an remain humble , and the fact they was happy to speak an greet a random person like they new for years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this business and am pleased my family and i took that chance to dine here. We go back regularly and the welcome is always the same.

   Always been impressed when I've visited Cassiel - very generous portions for the price (albeit I live in London so anything less than £20 a meal is cheap). Portion size for the salmon was impressive, tomato-based sauce was decent, as were the veg - I'd rate this 4 stars were it in London - there is a bit of local contextualisation in my scoring method. Chips really good on my accomplice's meals too. The décor though...bleurgh. So tacky, almost like a 90's Geocity website AI designed a bar. But I guess most people don't notice it.

   Food was poor standard which was a real shame. Friend said she had eaten there before and it's been amazing and there must be a new chef. I have an allergy to wheat and was told by the staff the chef would come out to discuss the menu with me (as no allergy menu), but told 15 mins later he/she was too busy. High table and stools is not comfortable to sit and eat at - sore back.
