   We go to Fair Maid quite often for tea with friends and are never disappointed. The food is always good and well priced and we can definitely recommend the Hunters Chicken. Sophie is the person who is always friendly,and we have a great laugh with and is a credit to the team. We think that every pub should have a Sophie there as she is certainly a character.

   I’ve been for Sunday lunch a couple of times with my Mother as Dad in hospital. Lovely lunch which arrived very quickly and at a very reasonable price. Too much for Mum tho but they were more than happy to give us a ‘Doggy’ bag. The second time we visited “Sophie“ recognised us from the week before. She was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend going.

   We was late to the reservation however it was no worry, they was plenty of tables left and we was seated as soon as we entered the building, where we was advised a better suited area to sit in which we took. The food arrived very quickly, within 10 minutes of ordering all food came (one persons food came in about 3 minutes!) The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection, all guests had 5 star well rounded reviews. To top it off, one of guests has been trying to find members of the public with a lighter, with no luck we went to a member of staff, she went over and beyond to find one to satisfy our guests when she was not required to do so. Amazing service, amazing food and amazing speed.

   A welcoming, friendly pub which is always our go to choice in the village. Lots of yummy food and perfect to take the kids to. Staff are always lovely, a special mention to Sophie and Isabel.

   We attend the pub quiz as a group of 4 or 5 at the Fair Maid most Wednesdays, which has a good mix of questions for everyone and is just challenging enough to be enjoyable without being too hard. We often eat beforehand and the food is consistently good value for money. Good selection of drinks, and the service very friendly and quick too. Just what you need after a long day at work if you don’t fancy cooking. We’ll continue to be regulars - thanks!
