I took my 2 teenage sons for dinner last Friday evening. Both boys were taking photos of the food as soon as it arrived, presentation was super! The quality of the food was fantastic, full of flavour and very generously portioned. There was a good range of food on the menu and plenty of drink options. The boys have declared it their new favourite restaurant. Perfect if you want to push the boat out a little without going overboard.

I have been a loyal customer here for years. To say I am utterly dissapointed is an understatement. The service is shocking. The staff are miserable, we had to order our drinks twice and they still didn't arrive. We asked for the bill 3 times, felt like an inconvenience rather than them just doing there jobs and it wasn't busy. The food quality and whole meal it's self has gone down hill. The chips were cooked more than once, like old chips recooked. The calamari was a frozen packet calamari deep fried. The fish wasn't fresh. The food standard, quality and everything about it was just dissapointing. This was once the most consistently good place were you knew it'd be good. Now I cannot tell you how much I wouldn't reccomend it. Not worth a £200 bill.

Called in on the off chance for lunch, although it was very busy and we hadn't booked, not knowing what time we had, they found us a nice table. Last time we had been, they had extended the building and to include parking at the side. My wife choose the chilli chicken panini which was toasted, i had the Atlantic risotto with garlic bread pizza. It was lovely with plenty of muscles, calamari and king prawns, some risotto can be stodgy, but this had just the right amount of sauce and a lovely taste. Only one small thing is with having muscles i could have been given a spare bowl for the shell's. Staff were very friendly and it was nice to be able to chat without loud music. Will certainly make another visit when at that end.

Massively Overrated – Huge Disappointment Those leaving excellent reviews about the staff and food clearly have never eaten proper, good-quality food. We only visited this place because it was recommended by What’s On Hull, and the disappointment was endless. The food was awful — genuinely below average and not worth serving. After spending £188, we left most of it untouched. Staff were completely undertrained; we had to repeat our order several times, yet it was still wrong. On top of that, the service was negligent and rude. Cleanliness was shocking: no napkins, dirty floors, spider webs everywhere, and the outdoor terrace covered in leaves. We waited an age for starters and mains, despite it being self-service. This place is massively overrated and poorly run. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what good food and service look like. Picture below to see the amount of food left because was impossible to eat.

Had a lovely early tea here. Spectacular pasta dish, the chicken and crispy bacon franciacorta absolutely outstanding. Mrs had a couple of starters. Generous serving of delicious meatballs and the best bruschetta ive ever had. 5 ⭐️ great service as well, all reasonably priced.

Great pub/restaurant with friendly staff. Spoilt my visit though charging £3.50 for a cup of coffee. Feels a bit extortionate tbh.

Booked a table for 17.00 on a Sunday. The restaurant was quiet and well staffed. Service was friendly and a good variety of food on the menu. The kids loved their burgers and the fajita was good too! Shame it was so empty (was when we left too) as a few more diners would have done loads for the atmosphere.

The place looks lovely but it is very cold and the service was shocking, no please or thank you from the unfriendly bar staff also she gave us no time to peruse the wine menu before demanding an order. We were planning to dine but with all the noise coming from the kitchen and poor service we decided against it. We definitely will not be returning.
