   What was once a real gem of a pub, possibly the only pub in Hessle which still had a proper pub atmosphere, has become yet another sports bar, something which The Admiral (only around the corner) already covers. Does Hessle really need another sports bar? Shame, as it was a pub full of charm and character. Staff were friendly and welcoming at least, but not a place to go if you want a civilised pub atmosphere. Far too noisy for that.

   Very accommodating staff. We have lots of dietary needs (vegan, veggie, gluten free) and they were all met and we had an excellent meal. Everyone was happy! Highly recommend this dog friendly pub!!

   Lovely pub, had my partner's 30th birthday party here, it was a great night. Buffet was excellent, the dj was great and Mary the landlady was so nice and helpful. Would definitely have another party here.

   Jade at "The Hase" gave us a warm welcome for a family get together (myself plus my sisters and 2 of 3 brothers-in-law) on Friday 28/10/2022. We were lucky to have a fairly quiet Friday meal, eating, drinking and chatting, and only needed a nod to Jade for her to give us her full attention. Be warned, however, food service is only available Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from noon and just through the afternoon. Portions were generous, and only three of us managed a sweet before coffee (or tea) was served. After more than three years without being able to all meet in one place, it was a lovely, friendly, venue to get together, and thanks to all the staff on duty who made the visit such a success.    We had the homemade steak pie Sunday dinner that came with mash, roast potatoes,peas, parsnips, carrots, cauliflower a Yorkshire pudding and lots of gravy absolutely beautiful.
