Needed somewhere to go for lunch after visiting my mother in her nursing home in Ventor. Walked to Ventnor High Street where we found the Cantina. Excellent food incredibly friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Prices were a little above normal but well worth it.

We dropped in on this lovely cosy cafe in Ventnor for brunch and to warm up after a chilly dip off the beach. Wonderful warm welcome for us and our doggo, who enjoyed a fuss and a treat. The food was absolutely delicious - I had the veggie breakfast with all the elements working really well together. Smoky beans, juicy soft cherry tomatoes, toasted halloumi - yum. Lots for veggies and non veggies alike on the innovative menu. Recommended.

Cantina is hands down my favourite spot for breakfast on the Isle of Wight, and honestly, it serves the best Full English I’ve ever had—on or off the island. Every visit feels like a treat. The quality of the ingredients is top-tier, everything cooked to perfection and it always hits the spot. We always make sure to visit multiple times when we are on the island What makes the experience even better is the woman who always runs the front. She’s warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, adding a personal touch you just don’t find often these days. Even when it’s busy, she keeps things moving with a smile and calm energy that sets the tone for a great start to the day. If you’re on the island and love a proper breakfast, Cantina is a must. It’s everything a good café should be: consistent, friendly, and unforgettable.

I came here with my sister for an 'end of holiday' brunch & we couldn't have left happier & with full tummies! The brilliant front of house lady, Dita, was so welcoming & full of cheer. The food was extraordinary & beautifully presented! Full of flavour & made with love!! They had a huge variety of vegetarian options, which we were thrilled about! Even my sister's dog Gino, was given some treats & attention from the staff! Would highly recommend!!!

A cozy little place, with amazing food and excellent staff. We got to try just two things out of their brunch menu, and both were beyond amazing in terms of balance of flavours, presentation. The portion size was really good. The food is cooked with love and it shows. Highly recommended.

Lovely place. Booked 15 for brunch. We were warned only the chef and one front of house staff working. We were fine with that and prepared to have a long wait. This didn't happen, we were served our drinks first, amazing coffee, Virgin Bloody Mary's, plenty of tap water. The food was amazing, we probably chose almost everything from the brunch menu. Clear plates all round, food was delicious, something different to the usual full English (although you can have that too) great quality food. We couldn't fault the service. We week be returning.
