Came in for breakfast with a friend. Served really quickly with our food, really good quality and value for money. Left with some cakes

We had never been to Dovecote before but thought we would give it a try after a lovely walk along the Creek. We sat outside after ordering 2 coffees and a slice of cake. 15 minutes later still not drinks arrived so went in to ask and told that there is a 30 minutes wait on food and drink!!! The young chap was rude and no customer service about him… yes it was fairly busy but they had plenty of staff serving and how long does it take to make two coffees! Would not recommend if you are short of time or want to be served in a polite way!

I wouldn’t usually leave a review on Google AND TripAdvisor, but this place is something else. Been in for the last two Monday afternoons for a coffee. No oat milk both times. I asked the girl serving what the issue was and was met with a rude, disinterested response with ‘waiting for a delivery’. The list of ‘out of stock items’ was 4/5 items that are pretty basic for a cafe. If you’ve got stock issues every single Monday, change your order, change your supplier or pop to the supermarket that’s 3 minutes away? Her lack of any interest in listening to a customer means that I certainly won’t be back as there’s so many other options locally now. The manager replied on TripAdvisor with such nonsense and absolute lies, alleging my behaviour was the problem. If you can’t manage to work out how much stock you’ll need each week or can’t order an extra bottle of milk, you shouldn’t be in business. Their Facebook reviews from the past year or so say it all! There’s plenty of other places to spend your money that offer much better service, food, drink AND honesty.

Great experience - delicious food and friendly service. I had the smashed avocado with added chorizo and egg. Will definitely be returning

Been meaning to visit for ages as I’ve heard lots of good things and it didn’t disappoint. The staff were really nice and the food was lovely at such a reasonable price. The Veggie Muffin was filling and very yummy. The atmosphere and decor was good whether your upstairs, downstairs or outside. Lots of parking marked with a Dovecote sign. You can book or turn up on the day. We turned up just after opening on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables free. Will be definitely coming back!

1st time visitng and we were there for breakfeast. Prices seem fair and food arrived really quick. Food was really good and tasty, very rustic and great atmosphere. Will definitely return for the food. One small issue that we experienced on arrival, staff weren't really helpful. We stood at the door and they just walked past, no communication from them at all. Wasn't sure if we could just walk in and sit down. Other done that, all good.

Great place, great location and great food. Cannot fault this, I was recommended to try this place by a friend and it did not disappoint. The service was nice and quick, everything tasted really good and the prices were just right. What more can you ask for? I’d recommend booking ahead.

Went here for Sunday breakfast. I had a vegetarian breakfast and a mocha frappe. The quantity was filling and the food was seasoned well with herbs. I added cracked pepper before taking these pictures. The ambience was casual and welcoming. Value for money. Covid guidance is being followed. Table service but you order at the bar. Card payment only. Will visit again.

This was our first visit to The Dovecoat Eatery on a busy Thursday before Easter. The staff were super friendly and efficient and all the food was lovely. Very reasonably priced too. Well worth a visit and we will be going back again very soon.

Me and my family including little doggy came into Dovecote for lunch on Christmas eve. We didn't need to book. Been here before and love the ambience and relaxed feel. Food I'd always great and fresh. Special coffees and hot chocolate are to die for! I have a bacon, brie and cranberry on sourdough baguette and was very nice. The bread was delicious. My son had the loaded fries and was a perfect portion for him. My husband had the dovecote breakfast and throughly enjoyed it. We had a bit of a wait but didn't mind. We also had a cosy table right near the heater. Great that the place allows dogs. Staff really nice too. Would definitely come here again.
