Great food.. large menu selection.. excellent service all at a very reasonable price.. will definitely be back to eat in and also get takeaway.. highly recommend.

Great food lovely service Billy was very helpful choosing a sauvignon wine not from New Zealand & a main course for my partner who usually orders lamb curry. My prawn khalhari was a delicious.
Been a couple of times, once as a couple another time in a big group, great staff here, prices very reasonable, everything tasty and we will be back!
One star is being polite. We booked a table for 11 people.we arrived 5 minutes early and were seated. Almost 40 minutes later we still had no drinks or any waitor to our table. We all felt overlooked as another table who came in after us were drinking and on their starters. We all agreed to put our coats on and leave. As the staff had ignored us we decided to ignore them and just leave without saying a word to anyone. This place had been recommended by many but left us all feeling very let down and very disappointed. Such a shame this would have been a 2 to 300 pound meal between us but we ended up at Frank's instead.
Popped in early on a Monday night lovely service, great staff and lots of people eating in there. Thanks for a lovely meal and evening. Very decently priced for the quality of food and great service too.
What an amazing takeaway we had from Sonali. The prawn cream josh was outstanding and I’ve never seen it on a menu anywhere else, it was gorgeous. We placed a huge order and everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. Really reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Sonali last night; unplanned visit as we passed through - very much did not disappoint! The fish curry and Sag Paneer were particularly delicious. Our waiter was also very friendly and helped us enjoy a great relaxed meal. If we're ever in Pocklington again we'll certainly be back!
Terrible experience...We were a pre booked table of 10....1 HR 30 min wait for food !!!.... Impolite service !!... Starter courses forgotten !!!.... 15 % charge added to final bill illegally. When challenged they pointed out a notice on the wall saying 15% would be added. Prices on menu therefore incorrect, not informed of price difference.!!!...Abismal customer service. When food finally arrived it was acceptable....but by then most people were ready to leave for a bag of chips !!! This used to be an excellent place to eat, we always visited as table of 10 plus for many years. We used to recommend the restaurant to family and friends....not any more. Our previous visit wasn't Stella, but we put that down to a one off..... But this visit confirmed we will not be returning. At no point did management appear to address our concerns.... I suggest you do yourself a favour and stay away, unless you like Impolite waiters, a long wait for food and then being overcharged. !!
