The food is amazing, they do gluten free options too, the staff are friendly and I cannot complain at all. Try their hash browns! Absolutely astonishing!

Have used Cheng & Chen many times, and we've never had any issues.... until today. Unfortunately, the order we placed tonight was short, and the portions were much smaller than usual. We rang to query the missing item in the order and to question the reason for such tiny portions. The response was that we were wrong and they couldn't have possibly missed anything, and the portion size is pre-set, whatever that means? It's a real shame to be honest, as this used to be our go-to takeaway. The quality of the food is always first class, it's unfortunate the customer service isn't the same. Pictured is a dish that cost £11.50 (missing the ordered rice). You can make your own mind up.
We tried Cheng & Chen for the first time this week. Walked in, ordered and our food was cooked fresh in 15 minutes. Really nice takeaway with a bit of a twist. Much lighter and less greasy than your usual Chinese takeaway!
Wouldn't give a 1 star if possible. Rip off for the price you pay. Bought two sweet and sour chicken, didn’t get even half of the tub (small size tub). More like a child’s meal. Handful of chips to share between two adults. Absolutely poor for the price would not recommend.
Had our first takeaway from here Yesterday. We had spring rolls. Katsu chicken with salt and chilli chips. Really enjoyed it, so much so we’re having it again tonight
Spot on food, love the fact that they have changed the direction of this branch to mirror the Trinity Market site in Hull. Simple menu that makes the whole ordering experience far easier than over complicated lengthy menus associated with Chinese takeaways! A Chinese takeaway that isn’t stuck in the 80’s, this is a takeaway that has come into the 21st century at long last.
10/11/21 just eaten the most amazing takeaway from Cheng and Chen . We both ordered a beef fish both were tasty and tender. The salt pepper chips were divine and the fried rice was so good ! Can highly recommend
Ordered from their vegan menu and BIG respect for having one! Tofu pad Thai and tofu green curry with salt and chilli chips and an extra side of salt and chilli tofu (we love tofu!). Absolutely gorgeous. Fresh and full of flavour. Best takeaway we’ve had for a long long time (especially round these parts). Highly recommend.
