Would not recommend this Chinese to anyone , my family ordered from here last night and the food was awful , my Nana has now ended up with food poisoning from this place and the same could of happened to me and my sister , so don’t order from here.
Chips pre heated really hard, curry is like water chicken was hard. Won’t be going for a collection again. Disgusting.
Posting after disappinting delivery of beef curry, chips n rice.. The rice can't comment on as normally order fried rice, got boiled ricem my fault.. Beef curry is normally the best but last night 15/06/2025 was bland and like eating boiled water with chips. I can only assume chef had an off day as like I say, normally the tastiest curry. 3 stars over whole, tele service and delivery person spot on.. food let you down this time.
I just collected my order from the oriental Gourmet Chinese and I wouldn’t recommend we got home and dished it our the nuggets was all burnt and the curry sauce looked like it had been sat a while as it was watery on the top but thick in the bottom. My partner was having a second mouth full of her food and she found a long dark hair in her food so we rang up and she was refusing to even admit it her hair as I have very short brown hair n my partner has red so it definitely none of ours but she wasn’t having any of it. She was rude and just kept dismissing us we told her we will bring it even on the plate as there was a couple and she just said no I can’t do anything and hung up. I really wouldn’t recommend we paid a lot for our meals we got and we got bad service and poor quality food too.
Absolutely delicious food. We went to Oriental Gourmet for the first time today and we were not disappointed. Our meals of chicken garlic with fried rice, special chow mein with a side of chips and spring rolls came with a free bag of prawn crackers. Everything was 10/10 and we will definitely be back, the portion sizes were very generous too, it might have even knocked our favourite Chinese takeaway off the top spot.
Absolutely vile food, it all tasted like it had been cooked in old dirty oil, curry sauce was awful, shredded chicken in chilli salt tasted as if it had been deep fried then re fried again in old oil, seaweed tasted of dirty oil. The Chicken in Singapore fried rice was disgusting and chewy. Absolute waste of £28. AVOID! All food went in the bin. If I could have given half a star I would have. Will definitely not be ordering from here again nor recommending it to anyone.
Great service, good quality and decent portion sizes. Highly recommend their Singapore fried rice!
Slight difficulty placing my order. However, the delivery was quick and the food was great.
Food looked lovely when it arrived but everything taste like dirty oil it was horrible we had to throw our food away I will definitely not be ordering from here again
