   Worst takeaway I’ve ever had! first review I’ve ever left anywhere but needs said, chips where completely undercooked, chicken strips where almost completely batter dripping in grease very little chicken, dip size was absolutely outrageous and completely overpriced was told be ready in 10 mins waited 20+ avoid.

   Don’t bother going!! £10.95 for a chicken goujon meal!! The chips were so greasy you could taste it, the chicken goujons were mainly just batter and the garlic mayo dip was a pathetic tube

   I’ve been visiting this chippy for years while holidaying in Dundrum with my wife, and we’ve enjoyed many great chippy evenings here in the past. However, the decline over the last 18 months has been truly disappointing. We kept returning, hoping we’d just caught them on an off day, but things have not improved. On a positive note, the shop itself is spotless and well cared for. The staff, though, are neither particularly welcoming nor unfriendly, just rather indifferent. Unfortunately, the food has really gone downhill. The fish tasted like something you’d find in a discount supermarket freezer, and the chips were so hard they were inedible. It seems as though someone has stopped paying attention, or perhaps the place has changed ownership. It saddens me to write this, as this chippy used to be excellent. Regrettably, I won’t be returning, nor can I recommend it anymore as I once did.

   My daughter and I popped in after a day of climbing the Mournes. My daughter went for the Pastie Supper and says it's the best takeaway she's ever had - says the Pastie was amazing - can't argue with that. Good value as well, great portions

   Stay away - terrible 40 minutes for 2 large chips They managed to get my order wrong too Tiniest portion size for a “large” chip I’ve ever seen. Value for money - awful Surely a large chip should have more than what’s in my pic??

   Hit or Miss. I stopped eating here when Docs and McCanns opened in Newcastle having had several bad meals from Bayside. I tried it again end of last year and was pleasantly surprised how nice it had become again, however i've now had two really bad fish suppers in a row. The first was served on a Sunday evening by a young lad who took the food straight out of the fryer and into the wrappers without letting the food breath, as a result it was soggy by the time i got it home. The 2nd most recent was last weekend at lunch time, the owner served me two fish suppers. All looked good this time until I tasted the fish and cut it open further. It was rotten and black in the middle and tasted awful. Both myself and my partner had an off tummy the rest of the day. What ever fish they are using now is not quality. It's also a real pain as they don't accepts debit cards - cash only. I won't be back any time soon.

   Fish was nice but battery was very greasy as it didn't have time to drain properly which in turn made chips greasy too.

   Nice chippy, good portions but not overly quick. Be prepared for a wait (however we went during the good weather spell). Parking is free but limited outside the shop so keep a lookout for a space.
