Really good kitchens, a really big warehouse, so they often have everything you need. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming and the new showroom is full of demos for customers to go and view.
Very helpful staff and great value products
Howdens were recommended to us by a friend for a new kitchen. Our planner, Kirstie, had already been out to the house and had provided us with a CAD Plan of our new kitchen. We visited the showroom today to go through changes to the plan with Kirstie and to see some samples such as flooring, cabinets and door furniture. Kirstie is very friendly and extremely helpful and provided and updated plan and estimate within the hour. Despite the planning being easy the products where well under par. Our kitchen now finished looks cheap with problems occurring with the finished product on many of the cupboard having to be replaced due to poor finish. The first sink which was sent by Howden was so thin that it buckled once installed. They refused a refund meaning that we had to purchase a stronger sink. Overall, I think we were overcharged by at least a third of the final bill. If your thinking of a kitchen makeover try Wickes or B&Q, give Howdens a miss!

I would give zero stars if I could. Badly planned kitchen that needed a lot of altering. Cheap looking units. The sink was so flimsy that I would have bee scared to put any pressure on it and worktops that are so tacky looking that we rejected them and asked our fitter to get them from another supplier. On top of that we arranged to have rounded edges to the worktops, we got extremely sharp square edges (part of the reason they were rejected). They refused to take the sink back as it was not in it's packaging. We ended up paying for something that was useless and another stronger (I use the term loosely) sink. When I use the taps they wobble once they have been release, such is the shocking quality of the sink. The planning looked like it was carried out by a kid without a tape measure. No floor plans. No handles. Missing parts and units that had to be altered by our fitter in order for them to sit correctly. The floor scratched already. Our fitters were brilliant, which is more than I can say for Howdens. They made it work somehow. The boss had to go backwards and forwards to Howdens to collect bits they didn't get supplied. Howdens Fareham are useless. All I can say is that I hope people read this review before making their decision to have their kitchen planned and designed by them. For anyone planning to use the Fareham branch... PLEASE DON'T!!!
