Had a cooker hood that stopped working and tried a couple of companies who came out and charged a sizeable callout fee. On both occasions they said motor was broken and that the model was out of date and so tried to sell me a new hood with all the labour and fitting fees. Being a tiny bit clued up I simply did not believe them. Then along came CJ Hampshire! Their engineer, Mark, quickly identified and rectified the issue which turned out simply to be a blockage from debris which had somehow been sucked in from outside. Mark was very knowledgeable and explained how it happened and the steps he took to investigate and rectify. There was nothing wrong with the motor and he made no attempt to upsell. Unlike a lot of trades he was also really courteous and a pleasure to have in the house. On this experience, I would 100% recommend CJ Hampshire as a company that can be trusted.

I needed a new oven , microwave , hob they took out the old ones ( 21 years old ) replaced them with new appliances . They even cleaned the cupboards before installing the new ones. I've dealt with C J Hampshire twice in the last six months. A week before Christmas my fridge freezer stopped working, it was 24 years old, so had served us well. I contacted Hampshires and they delivered a new fridge freezer a few days before Christmas. I also contacted Hampshire recently when my washing machine began leaking. Rather than try and sell me a new washing machine, they gave me sound advice about trying to fix it, which I was able to do. Old washing machine (Bosch) died after many year's faithful service. Needed a replacement as quickly as possible so gave Hampshires a call. Given age of old machine, decided on replacement rather than repair. Spoke to Mark who said they had a Bosch in stock and I could have it same day. So, ordered at 11, new machine was fitted and old unit taken away by 4 o'clock. Sure, could've saved 20 quid by buying on-line but I wouldn't have got the same level of service. Highly recommended.

Not sure what's happened at CJ Hampshire, but customer service has gone down massively. I have brought several kitchen appliances from this shop, they weren't the cheapest but the customer service and care they had for their customers and thought paying few extra pound for that and buying local. I have spoken to several members of staff over the phone who could do with a lesson in manners and actually listening. I then went to the store had spoke to to ladies who couldn't of cared Less and needless to say I will not be buying any further appliances from them. I would like to update my initial review. Last night I received a call from Mark the owner CJ Hampshires, he wanted to understand why I had left a negative review and how he could help. Mark listened to how I felt and why he was very understanding and apologised and said that he appreciated the fact I had taken the time to leave a review and that he would does take it seriously and it would be addressed. I was beyond surprised to get a phone call from Mark and very pleased that he cares that much about his customer. Because of this I will now change my star rating from a 2 - 4
