I cannot speak highly enough of the outstanding care my beloved pooch has received at AVR Kingswells. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were met with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals that radiates through every member of the staff. A special thank you to Jan the oncology vet, whose expertise and empathy have been nothing short of extraordinary. Facing a cancer diagnosis in a pet is heartbreaking, but the way he explained every step with clarity, patience, and warmth made an overwhelming time feel manageable. They’ve treated our dog like one of their own and that means the world to me. If you’re looking for a veterinary practice where compassion meets excellence, this is it. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you've done for Beau so far.

A huge thank you to all the staff and especially Monica our vet who has being treating my dog Holly who is 11.5 with a torn cruciate. Operation has been done this week and cannot believe how well she is doing. The care given and time taken to explain all our options was really appreciated. Would highly recommend AVR.

Caring people from the admin to the vets. My doggo has been referred a couple of times, and they are so gentle with her. They explain everything, and the fixed fee is really helpful, and they deal with the insurance company directly

Cat was referred here by our vet in Orkney after being run over and sustaining a nasty pelvic injury. Arrived herr around 0730 straight off the Aberdeen ferry, and even though they were not open, staff offered to clean up Tibby (the cat) and offered a brew and use of the bathroom while waiting for them to open. Staff were helpful and friendly and communicated well with us while Tibby was in their care.

We were reffered by our vets to AVR after Ruby our GSD had been in a serious car crash. Turned out, she'd broken her back, hip and had nerve damage in her spinal cord. The receptionist and staff were absolutely brilliant! With their advice and treatment Ruby recovered brilliantly. The vet, Saulius, explained everything to us. Even emailing me well out of the business hours. To keep us informed. Ruby could have had surgery, but AVR said it wasn't neccessary. There was no forcing us to get her operated on. If you're reffered to AVR by your vet. There's no need to be concerned. The professionalism of the receptionist to the vets is exemplary.

Fantastic staff Couldn't fault the care my boy received Gave us far more years with him than we expected due to the treatment he received. Only lost him recently at the grand age of 13 years and 24 days x Jasper xx

We were referred to this practice by our local vets and could not be happier with the service we received. Our miniature dachshund needed an emergency CT scan and after speaking with the staff here they told us he could go straight into surgery if it was required, which it was. The staff were all very friendly and professional and kept in contact with us regularly during his 4 night stay with them. Would highly recommend to anyone particularly in Northeast Scotland.

Can't say enough positive things about the staff here. Our dog had to go for emergency surgery and they took us straight away. They kept us updated with his progress and were so kind and compassionate during a difficult time. We really appreciate your efforts. Thank you!
