Amazing food , Great atmosphere, staff were so helpful, friendly and in great form , we can’t recommend this place enough.we live in Belfast and we will definitely travel to eat here again .
Had a really lovely experience here. The place is very nice and feels a bit fancy without being pretentious. It’s quiet, spotless, and genuinely relaxing. The staff are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met, and Paula was exceptionally sweet the entire evening. The food was great and I enjoyed every part of the meal. I had a great time overall and would definitely come back.
I was at this restaurant to celebrate my birthday after a day hiking in the Mourne Mountains. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. For starters we had the Carlingford crab claws with tiger prawns and goats cheese pannacotta (pics attached). As mains we had the 10oz fillet steak with parmesan and truffle fries (no pics). It was a lot of food in the end, and we had trouble finishing it, and had no room for dessert. We will definitely come back when in Newry or this area. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic experience here a couple of weeks ago - the aesthetics of the place are stunning, cozy and the vibe was great, good music and not too loud - we were 4 of us, 2 being kids, the waiter and kitchen staff were so over the top to keep the kids happy, not only by bringing their food earlier than ours (super quick) but by being engaging to them throughout the evening. This is important to us as we always take our kids to our date nights and not everyone is welcome and accommodating to kids - the food was UNREAL specially those breads - so was the service in general - RECOMMENDED!!
Great steaks, pleasant surroundings and staff were polite,courteous and helpful. I enjoyed a fantastic fillet steak here and will return. The food is a bit pricey but it was worth it. The restaurant was busy when we visited on a Saturday night which sort of explains why it was difficult to get the waiters attention, however another waiter or 2 on the floor would put this place on top for restaurants in Newry. Having said that I would have taken a dessert but the dessert choices were limited and not to my liking, no cheesecake, no tiramisu. Definitely worth a visit though.
The recent investment in the opening of the lounge area, adds greatly to the comfort and hospitality offered. Best whiskey choice in the area and consistently great food make this a must for private dining, social business meals. Relaxed welcoming atmosphere makes for a great occasion, no matter the reason. Don't take my word for it, try yourself and enjoy.
Staff are friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and modern. We had the Thursday steak night deal which is good value for money but the steak was poor quality. The pepper sauce if very very mild and no taste of it. Chips are big but a bit hard. The complimentary wheaten bread at start was delicious.
The wife and me called in by chance without booking. The very friendly staff got us a table right away. We were served very quickly and ordered the steak special as recommended by the waitress... an excellent choice. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. We live in Belfast but I will be back there again, thank you to all the staff we enjoyed the whole experience.
I had 2 dogs with me so finding somewhere to sit outside in newry is not easy. My first time here and they are very experienced in serving food. The place was spotless. The food hot, tasty and delivered quickly. Condiments clean and well stocked. But the star of the show was the incredibly friendly, efficient and accommodating waitress. She saw I had the dogs and immediately took me a menu, brought all the accoutrements outside to me and informed me my food would not be long. Her service was excellent and it shows she has been doing if for some time and loves it. All done with a smile and graciousness. Thank you. We will be back.
The best lamb I ate in my life! Friendly staff, nice place. But I think the lady got confused when I paid the bill in euro... gave me change unless... no problem. I hope to come back and enjoy the tasty food again!
