Came here on a Thursday mid-day for a coffee. The guy at the counter was friendly. Told him I wanted a double espresso with whipped cream on top. He understood straightaway even though β€˜con panda’ was not on the menu. Top marks for that. I was given a placard and told my coffee would be brought to me. That was when the real customer service showed its face. Coffee was brought to me , whipped cream very clearly on top.. alas.. no teaspoon. Are they expecting me to lick it with my fingers? It really is common sense. The big-ish lady who served me the coffee was really surprised I asked for a spoon. Her jaw sort of dropped. Anyhow, she came back with a spoon. This is one little thing that tells the service level and mentality of the staff. Next.. the coffee was awful.. I might as well be sucking a lemon. It was so sour. Though it was only an espresso, I could not even finish that small cup.. I rather go suck a lemon. So, my first visit was a disaster. Would I visit again.. not for coffee definitely..

Came here for a snack, smoothie was lovely. The tuna sandwich was tasty, the New York one sadly not so great, bread was soggy:( came before and got another breakfast which was really nice so maybe this was just a mistake, nice environment overall!

One of my top five favourite cafΓ©s in the area! Here you can truly taste authentic coffee blends and strong, distinctive varieties. The menu is rich and full of options for any time of the day. I recently tried their hot chocolate with rose petals for the first time β€” such a unique and wonderful idea, and it was absolutely delicious! The place can be either quiet and relaxing or buzzing with people β€” which doesn’t surprise me at all, as it’s clearly a favourite for many. The staff are always friendly and willing to go above and beyond, even on the busiest days. Its location is perfect β€” easily accessible whether you’re a visitor or a local, right in the heart of the city, less than a minute’s walk from Chichester Cross, the city’s most iconic landmark.

I had a 40 minutes wait until my train was due so I called in for coffee and cake. It was very busy but I had no problem finding a small table. Although it was busy when I arrived, it quietened down about 20 minutes later - that short time slot between lunch and afternoon coffee, so I was able to take a photo of the interior. The decor is lovely. I was a bit confused with the different coffee blends so the barista helpfully made a recommendation for me - my coffee was lovely and smooth. My chocolate tiramisu cake was delicious.

The coffee was really nice. We ordered 2 flapjacks, one was dry and hard, and the other had a really nice chewy texture. We did swap the hard one, which had obviously been left out for too long, so in the end, we both had nice tasty flapjacks. The smoothies seemed expensive for what they were. Nice seating areas and decor.

Visiting family in Chichester we stayed overnight and was looking for somewhere for breakfast. We were going to to the local Weatherspoons however the kitchen was closed, so we walked towards South Street. Glad we did as we found here! Lovely breakfast of Full English and the kids had American Pancakes. Lovely coffee too. Will come again next time we're down.

First visit today. I asked my husband to just get me a hot chocolate and I went to find a seat. He came back with a slice of cherry bakewell, as he was having something and didn't want to leave me out, and I'm very pleased he did. It was the best I have ever tasted. Everything well presented too. I will be back for more and we will also revisit for breakfast or lunch.

My favourite brunch spot! Food is delicious and coffee is marvellous. Only let down is that upstairs is boiling hot and they can't open the windows (unsure if they have air con?) and outside they allow smoking which isn't pleasant for non smokers. Really lovely interior too!

We were positively surprised with the trading post coffee. Spent 2 days in Chichester and what was meant to be a quick coffee break, turned into lunch. Coffee was fantastic and pleasantly surprised with the gluten free options on the menu, staff knowledge of gluten. Enjoyed a very nice lunch - can highly recommend

Love this place! The food, coffee and drinks are great. My husbad really loves the cakes too :D There is always space to sit even on really busy days. The only downside is that there is terrible service and no wifi.
