1. Saffron Cave ★★★★★

   I often come in to sit and study for my masters course. The WiFi is much better than most coffee shops in the area so it's great for working on my laptop, plus there's plenty of plugs to charge while I'm here. Drinks are fab and staff are really friendly. Ren and Kathy are particularly lovely and always check in on how my course is going. It's lovely and a great environment overall! Thanks team

   Since this Costa started admitting dogs, it's become increasingly impossible to enjoy my time here. The staff are almost always great, really personable and professional, but I felt hemmed in as to where I could sit because a couple with a very large black dog were allowing the dog to stand and lay right across the walkway. To someone like me who has a fear of dogs this is incredibly daunting and worrying. So, having 'chosen' a seat in the busier front of the store, we were sat near the queue, where another couple brought in two dogs with them, both wet (very rainy today) and smelling exactly as you would expect wet dogs to smell. It's just not any kind of nice experience when this is the ambience. Why is it suddenly acceptable to have dogs in Costa cafes? They are not clean creatures and many people like me don't want them where food is consumed, and many people have fears of them and allergies. It's such a shame, and it made what should have been a relaxing coffee into a stressful experience.

   Spent 30 mins queueing to order then spent another 20 mins to obtain my two hot chocolates. Absolutely ridiculous. The lady making drinks was faffing and not really doing much. Total go slow. 4 members of staff so not even short staffed! Bloke behind the till was sarcastic.

   Really poor service. The manager or older staff member is beyond rude to the younger staff. You can see the customers are uncomfortable how she treats them. If that was child being spoke to like I’d have a word. Those kids have a Saturday or weekend job, working hard with a long queue and she’s rude. Also other staff don’t clean the tables or cups away unless you ask. Really poor service.

   Lovely little costa, friendly staff, usual good quality of costa food and drink, nice atmosphere, busy but not too busy, well kept and clean seating area. 10/10 would definitely visit again!

   Saturday 1st October about 2.30pm not that busy sign on window saying they were closing at 4pm due to staff shortage. Ordered our drinks to be told they will be made in takeaway cups not something I like drinking out of i had my Grandmother who is 93 and she has never drunk out of a takeaway cup in her life eventually they gave her a latte glass, not impressed realise staff problems can't be helped ,but you must realise not everyone likes drinking out of takeaway cups.

   Long queue waiting for 8am new late time Sunday opening. Barista on her phone and sipping cold drink while customers trying to get in Took 15 minutes to get served. 2nd Barista didn't arrive until 8.20. No bread available as really wanted toast and coffee then overcharged because I had to have alternative not in the breakfast deal. Can they buy a loaf from next door? Change back to 7.30am please...

   Costa is probably one of the best coffee shops in the world. I thought this place was excellent, great customer service, very quick, drinks were lovely. Such a great trip all round.
